Loaded Chicken Sandwich Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Well Wake ended the ACCs chance of getting into the playoff. But I have zero doubt in my mind, that if Clemson were 8-0 with the same schedule, they would have been in the Top 4. This playoff committee is an absolute joke and they will always worry not about the name than anything. Quote
Hovadipo Posted November 6, 2021 Author Posted November 6, 2021 Cincinnati matching their dominating 1st half performance from last week with another 2-point halftime lead against noted power 3-5 Tulsa. Is 6th too high? The people are talking. Quote

Hoosierfan2017 Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Cincinnati doesn’t belong in the playoff and nothing will convince me otherwise. Does anyone actually think they’re one of the four best teams in the country? They’d have 2-3 losses playing a Big Ten East schedule. Instead, they get to rack up underwhelming wins against AAC teams. craigyv88 1 Quote

Complete chaos, games that lasted 5 hours, and a touchdown on every drive for both teams whether they were playing Ohio State or Southern Illinois. Not sure which annoyed me more, watching hours of defense optional football, or watching hours of Sam Howell, who just looks way too much like Baker Mayfield’s even douchier younger brother. Man, the Howell hype has never done it for me. A poor man’s Baker is a great way to put it. Demo 1 Quote
craigyv88 Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 C'mon Sparty, pull it together. I do not want to see Purdue get another one of these games. Quote
HinnyHoosier Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Maaaaaaan I hate MSU. But I hate Purdoo more. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
Hovadipo Posted November 6, 2021 Author Posted November 6, 2021 Kinda want Purdue to win out until the bucket game, which they’ll need to potentially get a really good bowl, and then win the bucket during a horrible year and screw up their big game. They’d also give Brohm a lifetime contract, which I’m still pretty certain is a good thing for us. Also kinda want them to never win a game again. HinnyHoosier and thebigweave 2 Quote
Alford Bailey Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Purdue has a legit QB and receiver. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
KingPG21 Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Purdue has serious dirt on the B1G. They get some insanely good calls in their favor. That Walker fumble probably wasn't a fumble. And that is a simultaneous catch that they don't review. Its bonkers. Quote
craigyv88 Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 I hate Purdue more than anything (I'll be an OSU fan when they play next week if that says anything) but man I have to admit David Bell is an incredibly special player and a lot of fun to watch. Would have loved for him to be a Hoosier. Quote

Heard someone say this week they were a more legit playoff contender than Cincinnati. Uh huh. I got a kick out of Clauson's stance. "Our offense is just so good and we go fast". I mean sure, but also your defense is awful Quote

That wasn't the most egregious example of it being ruled incorrectly, but it almost always is. Simultaneous possession is supposed to go to the receiver but referees cannot resist giving the benefit of the doubt to the defender. In fact, a bad ruling of that situation was what led to the famous Bill Lynch gum throw against Michigan in 2009. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 I'm sorta torn by this PU game -- well, not really. There's no way I'd ever root for the Toiletmakers. But MSU equally chaps my a-s. Mel Tucker was the Bears DC for a couple seasons a few years back -- and they were historically awful. I mean -- they would've given up 14 points to a high school team. Now, he's the darling of college football -- and getting mentioned as the top candidate at LSU. Quote
