AKHoosier Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Loving all these SEC tears this morning. Funny how much the pendulum has swung now that SEC bagmen aren't the only ones who can pay players. DChoosier and go iu bb 2 Quote

Much like some B1G folk I personally know don't count the 4 PAC-12 addition to our conference. I remember thinking Penn State wasn't "really" a B1G school back in the day. Lol. Quote

I'm sure they won't have a problem considering them SEC if they win 1 or 2 more games. For anything that looks favorable to the SEC, Texas will be SEC even if they don't personally think of them as SEC. DChoosier, Lebowski, johnsoniu and 1 other 3 1 Quote

Used to love the guy. He's intentionally misrepresenting what the discussion was. He's now talking about the semi-finals and acting like that was what was being discussed before. It wasn't. It was about who should or shouldn't have even made it into the CFP. Strawman argument by him. Also, he is trying to pretend like they wouldn't take Alabama over one of these schools? Really, we're supposed to believe that? Alabama isn't a big enough brand? Yeah, right. ESPN would take 'Bama over, say, Penn State in a heartbeat. He just has to pretend like they wouldn't since their previous whining backfired so spectacularly after the Tide lost yet another game but to say that they wouldn't love for Alabama to be in one of these games is disingenuous. Who was talking about Auburn in the CFP discussion? No one. They didn't even qualify for a bowl game. Hovadipo, Pagoda and Hoosier Roots 3 Quote

Lebowski Posted January 7 Posted January 7 There's a whole discussion about IUFB in the interview and my blood is boiling. Because all three of them don't understand that a one loss P4 team will always get into a 12 team EXPANDED CFP! Deal with it. Ari Wasserman kind of explained it but then lost me when he said a 10-2 Bama should have gotten in over IUFB. johnsoniu 1 Quote

The crap we get for losing AT (i) Ohio State, the likely national champs who are destroying everyone but UM (psychological issue), and (ii) ND, who is a CFP semi-finalist and maybe finalist, is so stupid. We were bad in those games, but not notably or historically bad. Sheesh. I didn't listen to this, but the story any CFB advocate/talking head should be telling about IU is how a new staff in just one year with 15-20% of the resources of the big football schools won 11 games, and most of the wins were by healthy margins. That's extraordinary and should be celebrated, but no, we get drivel and gaslighting from Kirk and the other idiots like him. Pathetic. johnsoniu, RoadRage and go iu bb 3 Quote

We love stories." IU would've been a great story if that was the case. What you said plus the new coach brought in a bunch of players in from lower level schools. This is at the school which is traditionally bad. Instead the story they decided on was to crap on IU. Pagoda 1 Quote

You still get it at the 20 if you fair catch it inside a certain point. I saw that earlier this year in one of our games and thought the refs had screwed up when they brought the ball to the 20. Edit: never mind, I guess that's only on kickoffs. Quote
