EXCEPT if Alabama had gotten in over SMU or IU and was dominated for 55 minutes and then scored a couple of times late, that wouldn't be the narrative that ESPN and those with SEC bias would be citing.

Yeah, probably true. I’m as sick of the SEC bias and narrative as anyone. But we had a chance to change that narrative and did nothing but feed it. We deserved to be in the playoff for sure. Just seems like a lot of us are leaning on a very misleading final score and having a hard time accepting what that game was. We chatted a lot of $hit, didn’t back it up, and we’re getting crushed for it. We should wear it.

Can someone please tell me how getting beat 27-17 is a blowout? I mean, yes, it was 24 points late, but we never quit and ended up getting it to a 10 point loss. I’m so sick of these game announcers keep comparing IU and SMU in the same sentence as “both blowouts”! Yes, SMU was blown out by 28 points, but not IU!

IU will end up at worst with the 2nd closest score in the 1st round. Possibly the closest. I also expect at least 2 more blowouts in the 2nd round. So as negative as the elitists are being right now, I think it'll start to look not so bad. Especially after some time when people look at only the final score.

I’m overtly hoping OSU, who I never cheer for, beats TN. Can’t let the SEC BS ramp up even more.

Go OSU.

It certainly looks like you’ll get your wish early on. This looks like two very different levels of team here so far.

The announcers and pundits keep blabbering about games that aren’t close but….HELLO, there were plenty of blowouts when it was just a 4 team playoff.

They keep acting as if such a thing has never happened and that blowouts are proof of a non-existent problem.

Elitist a$$hats. That's why.

Yup, just when I thought I couldn’t loathe SEC stan’s and network apologists any more, they have been so insufferable for the last 20 hrs that they’ve got me rooting for Ohio St to boat race UT.

Now I REALLY hate’em.

What's funny is that while I never really liked the SEC I didn't hate them. That has quickly changed. I bet their constant whining is really turning a bunch of people against them.

Tennessee fans traveled well

Actually kind of astonishing they have that many fans there.

Because of the road team demand you would think the Stubhub prices would have been high but they were cheap which means a TON of OSU fans were selling. Surprising.

Meh, who cares. Sure, we didn’t play well. But outside of the 98 yard run, our defense made Notre Dame earn everything. Our offense couldn’t do anything, but it’s not like they were scoring touchdowns left and right.

Regardless, I mean Alabama scored 3 points and gain 234 yards against a crappy Oklahoma team a month ago and the SEC stans are acting like it’s some big injustice that they were left out of the playoff. We have a similar game for the first 55 minutes against Notre Dame and they’re acting like it’s the end of the year. If Tennessee keeps getting throttled like they have been so far will any of the SEC folks keep the same energy they’ve had about IU? Of course not. I just don’t care what any of them have to say. They’re dishonest hacks.

Overconfident in an OSU win and planning on attending the next game, probably.

Although that confidence is looking justified so far.

No disagreements here. D played admirably. And again, I loathe the SEC bias. I unfortunately have to live in it.

Related…they keep saying there are 40K vol fans there but haven’t seen a single camera angle that makes me think there is more that…10K? 15K?
