Hovadipo Posted September 27, 2025 Author Posted September 27, 2025 That UVA field storm is simultaneously 1) the best I’ve ever seen in any sport and 2) genuinely terrifying. Hope Squirrel White is alright. triple and DChoosier 2 Quote

Sent from my SM-X210 using BtownBanners mobile app Hate to disagree but it won’t be a long weekend for the $EC mathemagicians. The formula is simple. Alabama lost to a top ten opponent (FSU) so Bama gets bonus points the rest of the season even though they lost. And then tomorrows Bama-Ga game: Georgia is number 5 and Alabama is 17th so if Georgia wins they go to 4th or higher and Bama should rise to 10th or 12th for losing to such a good team. If Alabama wins they go to 4th which means Georgia actually lost to the 4th ranked team (not 17th) so Georgia only falls to 6th. Josh 1 Quote

After a grand total of... 4 games the writer goes off on the coach for what? Being 2-2? Losing by big margins? Having a girlfriend that finds 70+ year old men attractive? His legacy? Prior to Tom Brady, his head coaching career record was 41-55 .427. After Tom Brady, his head coaching record, including UNC, is 31-40 .436. His total record without Tom Brady on his roster is a grand total of 72-95 .431. I'd say without a certain player he doesn't really have a legacy to tarnish. Who's really laughing? The country or just the impatient keyboard warriors wanting instant gratification after 4 games into a 1st year coach with a complete overhaul of a roster along with the way the program used to run things? What fiasco? It's 4 games into his 1st season. How much money is spent on every player at every P4 school? I'd fully understand if this writer wanted to criticize the university because they hired a below average coach without a certain player on his roster. But personally, I still wouldn't criticize the university this early. It's only 4 games into this experiment. It's a hit piece and the guy writing it comes of as ****** bag with some sort of personal vendetta. To what exactly, I'm not sure. At least that's what I got of the the column. But that's just me. I get your point, but to give all the credit to Tom Brady seems really lazy. Those teams were stacked with talent. Rodney Harrison, Ty Law, Richard Seymour, Vince Wilfork, Willie McGinest, Mike Vrabel, Adam Vinatieri, Ted Bruschi, Rob Gronkowski...I mean damn. Those teams were stacked. I'm sure you know that, but it really irks me when people just give all the credit to the quarterback. Quote

And he ain't coaching a prominent blue blood ta boot. Media, especially those who follow NFL over college (Bill Simmons, ESPN talking heads) built up the idea he’d be able to waltz into college and immediately have success. UNC is paying BB 10 million a year. Also a top-level salary to his unqualified GM Michael Lombardi + Lombardi’s even more unqualified son, the QB coach. Hulu is set to debut a show following UNC in season. They’ve gotten demolished in their only two P4 games thus far. I’m pretty certain his tenure is going to be a massive train-wreck and I’m happy to see it’s already trending that way. “Belichick's demands were unprecedented for a place like UNC. Brown made $5 million per year. Belichick wanted more than double that figure. He also insisted on autonomy over the program and a sizable increase in the salary pool for assistants, and he wanted a minimum commitment from the school for player acquisition that would've exceeded UNC's planned revenue-sharing distribution. According to reports, he also asked to have his son Steve tabbed as a "head coach in waiting." Quote
