So is this how this works now? I know Luck is an unusual example but I’ve always assumed college GM’s worked for the HC and not vice versa.

I thought that was strange as well. My understanding was that these college "GMs" were to help the HC deal with the portal, NIL and roster construction. Not to fire him.

More positive and uplifting press for Michigan.  lol

If he loses his job at Michigan and stays out of jail, maybe Todd Golden will bring him on as a "consultant."

Ridiculous, but it’s not my money.

Wow.  I guess they really value the exposure he brings the school.

That is insane though, he isn’t a good coach (he is mid tier at best) and his schtick will keep getting less interesting and likely attract less attention each year unless he can really win big (doubtful).  Good luck Colorado.

Talk about pissing your money away!  I know he work's hard...but so do washing machines.  lol. Anytime I can get a Christmas Vacation quote (or a variety thereof) I'm taking that action!

I wouldn't say he's not a good coach but that's just me. I mean, he's won almost 70% of the games he coached at the college level.

The Buffs must believe he's doing good things for the school. Now that football is like 80% of the revenue generating for a schools athletic department it kind of makes sense if you think about it.

Frank Reich to coach Stanford for a season ...

https://x.com/PeteThamel/status/1906708158925402622

"I’ve come to the proverbial fork in the road, and I made a vow to myself that if I ever did again, I’d choose me, in a sense. It’s very difficult;" -Andrew Luck

Wait until he comes to another proverbial fork in the road while on the job at Stanford. He will always be the guy that quit an entire city and there's no re-writing history.  Anyone that comes on here and tells me it was [fill in the blank's] fault that he quit either never played a down of football or doesn't understand the mindset of championship culture. He quit, period. And there's no defending his timing and actions. The guys locker room know this, the coaching staff know this, and every member in the organization know this. They just aren't saying it publicly.

It would be poetic if Reich quit two weeks before the season starts.

I have no regret posting this. He can pound sand.

I hope UT tells him to pound sand. Although he'll probably get what he wants at USC or some other program.

Kid is not worth $4M.

Was coming to post this... clearly this whole NIL thing is out of control... I agree... he entered the portal, but no one should touch him... of course, new suitors will line up anyway...

He’s not even that good. He threw for 19 touchdowns last year. 10 of them came in their four non conference games. Another 4 came against Vandy. 5 passing touchdowns total in their 7 other conference games + 1 playoff game. 0 passing touchdowns in their 3 losses. He was a middle of the pack SEC quarterback last year. Not worth the headache. Good for Tennessee.
