I'll give Williams a pass. All Star games are horrible platforms for big guys. Breakaway dunks and rebounds are the only times they get to see the ball. If Poole is starting at Michigan, I like our chances against them for the next four years.

Poole is a sniper I wouldn't be saying that.

Our state was loaded with talent. This was a major swing and miss for Crean and staff.

Unfortunately recruiting the state slowly went away from being a focus. Unfortunate when recruits will admit that. Not saying the old staff didn't try, but seems they didn't try hard enough.

The Crean era tried hard enough in-state; it just seems to me that the more the in-state recruits and coaches got to know them, the less effective their efforts were.

Theres a reason old school snake oil salesman would move from town to town

It's funny though; I really don't think that Crean was a snake oil salesman. I believe that he genuinely believed in himself and his abilities. However, I think he was an overeager, odd duck that had an off-putting way about him, and that's what screwed the pooch for him in-state.

Agree.  His personality just didn't click with a lot of kids and their families.  Would really like to hear from some of the top in-state talent we lost in the last couple of years just what it was that turned them off to FCTC and IU.  Inquiring minds want to know!

Earlier this month this from Crimson Quarry:  Robby Carmody. A four-star SG out of Mars HS in Mars, PA, Carmody has deep ties to the Miller family. Ranked #83 in the class of 2018, the 6’4”, 185 lb SG has unlimited range and could become a focus for Indiana.

This from Corey Evans today:  Notre Dame head Mike Brey completed an in-home visit w/'18 guard Robby Carmody; Matt Painter/Purdue expected tonight.
