I’d forgotten we even had this thread, but, hey, IU being a football school now and all, seems like the day to bump it.

Media consensus seems to be:

Day 1: Mendoza, Cooper Jr

Day 2: Ponds, Sarratt

Day 3: Fisher, Black, Nowakowski, Coogan, Kamara, Hemby, Moore

That sound about right? Thoughts?

The first 2 days look about right from the Mock Drafts I have seen, but that day 3 is a crap shoot .  I haven't seen Moore or Black in many, but some mocks just do the first 3 rounds.

I seriously, seriously, doubt it happens but I’m gonna spend tonight waiting for the last 5 picks or so to see if any GM has the combination of stones and good sense to take Ponds in Rd 1. That kid’s gonna play a decade and be a no doubt winning player.

Does anyone know off hand if this is the most IUFB players projected to be drafted? I would think it probably is.

Looks like Mendoza, Ponds, Cooper, Coogan, Fisher, Sarratt, Black for sure, and reasonably likely Hemby, Moore.

That's nine. The record for IU is seven.

I've not seen Kamara mocked many places, and I don't think he will get drafted. I've also seen many that didn't include Nowakowski, which would be laughable. He's a TE3 and great SPT player from the rip... 

I hope the Colts grab Rodriguez in RD2 and still get Fisher in RD5. Wouldn't be mad at all, if they ended up with Sarratt in RD3 and Hemby later on, as well.

1976. I also suppose there were many more rounds of draft back then.

In the modern era, 1994 (1st year for 7 round draft)... the most picks we've had--- 3 -- 2016- Spriggs, Sudfeld, Jordan Howard, 2010-- Saffold, Ray Fisher, Jamie Kirlew.

I just looked up the 76 draft. Buckner got drafted in the 14th round and Trent Smock got drafted in the 15th. Both IUBB players.

Those were the days. They’d print them in the Indy Star by round and there were a billion names and I’d comb that thing looking for every player I knew. Today, the very thought of it gives me a migraine.

Until the age of 16--- I watched the entirety of the NFL draft.. noon on Saturday through the end of the day on Sunday. Loved it, still do.

I'm not an NFL guy much anymore, but I would take Moore in a heartbeat. Dude is a player.

RD2: Ponds
RD3: Sarratt
RD4: Fisher
RD5: Black, Nowakowski
RD6: Coogan
RD7: Hemby, Moore

We'll see post draft FA signings as well. If any of the guys above don't get drafted they get picked up along with Kamara, Daley, Wyatt, Benson, and maybe Franke
