Coaching Carousel 2016

Recommended Posts

As I dive further into the Univ of Delaware's program, I'm finding it to be a wreck.  They have an interim AD...they plan on hiring a coach until after the new AD is hired...but that is looking like it could run into MAY...after the April recruiting.  Three players have asked for their transfer releases as well.  It's a freaking dumpster fire.  At least tickets will be cheap and easy to come by I guess.

Tough break for Sheldon jeter. He transferred from vandy to Pitt to get a way from stallings. Stallings also pulled a Bo Ryan and blocked him. Now he has stallings as a coach again

I read he may have his degree by summer. Could add him to grad transfer list.

Small news: Herb Sendek of NC State and Arizona St fame will be the new coach at Santa Clara.

Of note: While googling Sendek, I found this article of Sean Miller replacing Crean...as an assistant at Pitt in 1995. Crean had just interviewed for the Murray St job which went to the (mediocre) Mark Gottfried before leaving Pitt for Michigan St.

The Tennesseean reporting that King Rice, Monmouth head coach and former Vandy assistant under Stallings, and Bryce Drew are the leading candidates for the Vanderbilt head job.   Jeff Capel's name also mentioned in the article.
