IUrocker Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 I’m from the Fort Wayne area. If a kid from one of our local schools announced at his school that he was going to Duke, people from their school aren’t gonna be like “uggh, you should have stayed home and went to IPFW!!”. They are gonna be excited, pumped, and proud that he was going to play basketball at a big school like Duke. (I’m not trying to compare Vanderbilt and IPFW as basketball destinations, only as local stay home schools). This is why I don’t think it matters that he is announcing at his school. I’d like to think that if he chose IU, people in his area are gonna think it’s a big deal and be excited for him because they know IU is a big deal. 8bucks Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 What does that matter?Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appVanderbilt has this incredible, I mean humongous, fan following that they can't even have good message boards like this because there is not enough internet space to handle it. And Brentwood has been a huge pipeline delivering blue chip basketball players annually plus all the Brentwood kids are season ticket holders to Vandy games. If Garland goes to IU, everyone in attendance will be excited for him. High schoolers don't think like message board fanatics. Iugradman 1 Quote

MikeRoberts Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 All you have to do is listen to ChrisDo you believe the coaches have been informed? As most believe, I don't think they have. So, while Chris and others can have a good feeling, nobody truly knows for sureI certainly would put Rabjohns in that same boat, likely has a good feeling for what it will be but don't believe for a second the family has told himSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
