Walking Boot of Doom Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Hoosiers are back on top! [attachment=3468:ImageUploadedByBtownBanners1456069457.209287.jpg] Indiana should get both the home win against Maryland and the win on the road against a short-handed Illinois team, and can accept a road loss to Iowa. With OSU, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan, all teams in the top six in the B1G, Iowa could easily lose two more. Maryland also has Michigan at home, and Indiana and Purdue on the road, and could also be looking at two more loses. As long as Crean and Co. can continue to adjust our defense to our opponents while playing our game on the offensive end, Crean's shot at his second B1G Title in four years looks pretty strong. mamasa, WayneFleekHoosier, ALASKA HOOSIER and 3 others 6 Quote
Brass Cannon Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Yeah we are well poised for a second outright title even. Yogi will be the first IU player to do that in my life. LockdownD and Walking Boot of Doom 2 Quote
biteoftheapple Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 We are in the hunt for the title. Thats awesome. But, we can be sized for the crown just yet. The years in between as a 7 and t8 are deeply remembered. Quote

Would really be great to see. He could be a truly iconic Indiana player if the team finishes strong this year. Josh 1 Quote
AKHoosier Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Funny that we'll definitely be rooting for Purdue to beat Maryland at Mackey, as that should stick a fork in the Terps' chances for the B1G title if they lose. All we have to do is beat Illinois and Maryland at home to secure at least a share of the title in all likelihood. Iowa looks to be weakening down the stretch, and I see them dropping at least one of at Michigan, at Ohio State, or Wisconsin. Josh and Walking Boot of Doom 2 Quote

incrediboy Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 This is really out there, but if we can take the title outright AND win the B1G Tournament, we would get at least a 2 seed in the Big Dance. Walking Boot of Doom, JaybobHoosier, FortWayneHoosier and 3 others 6 Quote

TheWatShot Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I knew we hadn't done very good in the BTT, but I didn't realize we have never won We've only reached the final game once (2001). In that game, we lost to Iowa, who remains the lowest seed to ever win it and is the only team to win four games in four days to do so. FortWayneHoosier and Walking Boot of Doom 2 Quote

Definitely will be interesting in the final stretch as well as the B1G tourney with 4-5 other teams seemingly improving every game. Quote

Uspshoosier Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Ohio st is still mathematically alive to win the big 10. Lol their 10 wins consist of ( Rutgers twice, Illinois twice, Minnesota, Nebraska, penn st, northwestern twice and their best win against Michigan). You got to love unbalanced schedules Their is a good chance they can win 11 games in the conference and still not get an at-large bid Quote
323SGrant Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Somebody pls. beat Iowa. I'd take a share of the title. U if I could be a trap game and I don't expect IU to win in IA city. Quote
colonel06 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Sidebar: Mich down by as as 15 now over the Terps 54-53 at College Park! Quote

Popular Post JaybobHoosier Posted February 21, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 21, 2016 We have to beat Illinois IMO if we want to win the Title. I think we beat Maryland at home, but the Illinois game is extremely important. As long as we finish out winning 2 of 3, I think we at the very least tie for the title. Yes, it's better to win it out right, but for the way this team started, a share is a huge accomplishment. Parakeet Jones, 323SGrant, HoosiersLoveBanners and 5 others 8 Quote
