You are passionate about your position, I can appreciate that. I am passionate about mine. I have watched college teams rise and fall. All of them had one thing in common, a desire to attract certain modern players. Players like those listed today. Players that, if discovered, would lead to program sanctions. Those programs always fail. Every single time. I am not against unreasonable updates to uniforms (lengthening the shorts back in the 80s-90s, widening the uniform top, altering logo). The void that was started today should be clear evidence that tradition means clean. If everything shakes out the way I think it will, Indiana and all it's hokey stuff will look like a rose. The dial will be at 11 all on its own. Besides, Archie rolled back the stuff Crean did at Hysteria and I don't see him reversing course on that.

They've been sanctioned by the NCAA 6(?) times, received one death penalty and barely avoided a second.  From point shaving to envelopes of cash to recruits, they're well versed in the filthy side of college athletics.  Don't kid yourself, pUKe's history is nearly as much about corruption as it is winning.  Having players named in the FBI probe is just more of pUKe being pUKe.

Laundry doesn't win titles, being flashy doesn't win games.  If it did Oregan football would be a juggernaut.  Indiana hasn't wallowed in mediocrity because they haven't changed jerseys, they've wallowed in mediocrity because the administration made a concerted effort to reduce the stature of IUBB.

My thoughts exactly.  One of the all-time greats in Indiana high school history goes to............. a f***ing 11 win Vanderbilt team.  What a stab to the heart, but when it happens, we'll be able to finally move on.

It'll be a low point for sure, but we'll be ok next year.  I like our future.

I agree that Indiana isnt "sexy." Not often the program goes outside the box in creativity. Hell we have had the same jerseys for a billion years. Always hesitant to change because of "tradition." As if Duke, Kansas and UK don't have any? Even Hoosier Hysteria has became dull. Need to spice things up. Get some new unis, kick things up to 11 for HH and start to ball out like we haven't been a bear hibernating for 30 years.

Geeeeeeez would you guys just quit? The moaning, complaining, lamenting about Romeo a month before he even makes his announcement is ridiculous. I want to say I have a good idea of how dramatic some of you will be IF he chooses Vanderbilt, but I fear it will be worse than that by a long shot.

If that day comes I'll be off the board for awhile. Not because we didn't get Romeo, but because we can't handle not getting our way.
