Romeo's recruitment is why I can't post lol. Biggest recruit since EGJ and I don't have a legit read on it... I will say, some promising developments over the weekend...I just trust no one in this bc I don't have a source directly connected to the family and that is where the REAL news is. Re-read what Bossi said, that's nuts. Pardon my ignorance, but who's EGJ? ... Sorry, with everybody using initials all the time, I can't keep up. Quote

pumpfake Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 I think it's very interesting that current IU players have shown up to watch him play several times and that Robert P was at his game with Archie. If nothing else, it shows how wanted he is at IU and reinforces a team/family approach. Heck, when a player (Freddie M.) shows up to watch and he won't even be playing with you, that's got to feel very welcoming. What, or how much it means is unknown, but the IU staff and players have gone all out to show Romeo he's wanted in B-town. ALASKA HOOSIER, MoyeNeeded and Justin Kotter 3 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 I agree but I meant that he would find a way to reaffirm the fact that IU is the best choice for Romeo. It'll be interesting to know what they focus on. He already knows he would be absolutely loved by the state for playing at IU. Archie and staff have already showed him how he would be used in their system. They had to have covered academics on his official. Maybe he wants to get a better feel for what he could study for a year. Maybe to explain different options for him to finish his degree. There could be any number of things. Hopefully it deals the deal... whatever it isSent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app thebigweave 1 Quote

mdn82 Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Some of the stuff I have read about Vanderbilt in this recruitment reeks of desperation to me.Yeah they are starting to get a little nervous and a little less cocky. Their insiders I have noticed aren’t as boisterous as they were in November/December. They have a few freak out threads talking about how he isn’t committing during the burger boy game and now in New Albany. Kind of funny. They sort of sound like us in that situation.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Blackmon_for_3 Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 I think one of the areas Romeo can really improve on is defense. Archie got a team that was terrible last year in defense to respectabile this year and ended up 60ish AdjD according to Kenpom. Vanderbilt ended up outside the 200s in adjD for comparison. Come here, add to your game, and become a better player. Tim Langford seems like the type that won’t leave any stone unturned. We will see. ALASKA HOOSIER, thebigweave and Iugradman 3 Quote

darB s'tI Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 I keep going back to the fact that Vanderbilt and Kansas are on the FBI list. With the perceived humble and grounded approach from Romeo & Company, why would you change it by committing to one of those schools? So Drew is cunning; I get it. So cunning that he'll likely end up without a job or on a lengthy suspension. Same with crystal clean Bill Self (cough, cough, Billy Preston, cough, cough). thebigweave and Bowhunter 2 Quote
