I was leaning toward us lately, but now I’m concerned Vandy may be his leader like most thought early on. Romeo has already stated multiple times at the MCAAG that IU will be his final visit. It's unfortunate that everyone of the national media guys and Nashville media keep asking Romeo if he's going to visit Vandy again. I 100% believe this info is coming from Drew trying to make it happen and not Romeo or his family. Will he visit Vandy again? Who knows for sure but as of right now it doesn't sound like it when Romeo is doing the talking. Iugradman, ALASKA HOOSIER, mdn82 and 2 others 5 Quote

I'm not sure he will do any better than Padgett. Maybe I should have further elaborated in my original comment that I don't feel Mack is an accomplished enough coach that a recruit of Romeo's status would consider Louisville now. Your earlier comment about Archie? I was a little letdown when he was hired but not terribly. I will say that after his first season and I'm optimistic. I agree he isn't a coach that could get Romeo to consider UL. If Padgett wasn't mixed up in the UL crap, then someone should scoop him up quick imo. Ball state type of school. Quote
Whojainjawja Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 As has been reported, RL is likely to take another visit to VU. If he were truly Vandy bound, why take another visit. Let's see who gets the final visit. Once CBS is through with the tournament you can expect a full court press for RL. He still has a visit left and chances are he will find his way to NA in short order. RL stated that the VU and Kansas commits talk regularly, as well as his communication with RP, but all of the VU and KU commits are spending a ton of face time with him over the next 2 weeks. RL also has a chance to be teammates with a few of them. That does not bode well for IU at all. CAM and co. are going to have to make a strong case to the Langfords' on their final visit. The one thing that didn't set well was RL stating that IU wanted the last visitor a face to face with his family. He didn't sound enthused about the last visit, it seamed the visit was more to appease his Mom and Dad. Bowhunter 1 Quote

Then Drew is pushing for the last visit. That’s per their boards. They think Drew is getting his way. I don’t see that happening but hey, who cares? In most cases it’s a big deal. In this case the kid isn’t emotional or reactive in his approach. I don’t see it making a huge difference either way. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Iugradman 1 Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 I wouldn't worry too much about him being around other McDonalds All-Americans this week. Romeo will only be in school for one year, and Juwan Morgan will be better next year than any of the incoming freshmen at Kansas or Vandy. He doesn't have the flash and the hype that the burger boys will, but I'm confident Romeo is smart enough to look past that and see that he would be able to play with talented players at IU, too. thebigweave, Justin Kotter and Iugradman 3 Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app That's only one example, but you never know. Archie could pull in a top class of guys in 2019 that Romeo thinks he has a shot to win a title with. Plus, it sounds like academics are important to the family as well. All of that aside, I do think there is much more of a chance that he is a one and done than staying more than one year. Heck, I just hope we get him for at least one year. ALASKA HOOSIER and Iugradman 2 Quote

I think that’s a good part of it. Staying two years would allow him to team with the likes of Keion Brooks and TJD. That team could consist of Phinisee, Romeo, Jerome Hunter, Damezi, Brooks and TJD.
