HooHooHoo22 Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Can’t believe someone on the Vandy board said that. I doubt most of them know much about basketball. Hell I had a Michigan fan tell me he thinks McRoberts will be entering the draft this year. LMAO buddy, why even talk about something you have zero knowledge of. Bailey7878 Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 Uhhhh...I guess I will withhold judgment until the national guys start saying Romeo to Vandy. It would still be beyond belief the best player from Indiana in a long time goes to vandy of all places. Certainly starting to look like it but still unreal. The AD really must be able to sway people.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote
dbmhoosier Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 He's just not going to tell Darius Garland no. No one here should act surprised when it's made official. We've known for months. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
IUHAHN81 Posted February 8, 2018 Posted February 8, 2018 I just can't get passed the "build a brand" statement. He is loved in Indiana. Would be on a pedestal by fans if he goes to IU. Much more exposure as well. But then again, those r daddy's statements. Tim has said it is up to Romeo so.... Josh 1 Quote

Well, a lot of insiders have bought into his statement that he is really just focusing on his season and winning a state title for New Albany, and after the heartbreak from last year, I'd be the same way. He makes it seem like that is the most important thing to him, his dad has said that when he knows for sure, he'll announce. Time will tell. Quote
TheWatShot Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 "Local backlash" has to be the lamest, most over-used reason why any recruit hasn't decided yet. Like he's suddenly not going to ever see or interact with any IU basketball fans after his season ends... BGleas, hoosierbgh, thebigweave and 4 others 7 Quote

Ajwhitis Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 Look at it this way, if he announced Vandy today, the time he waits post-game to sign autographs will go down, sounds appealing to not have to wait an hour and a half just to get on the bus and head home. Iugradman and BGleas 2 Quote

We've known for months. Then he's a weak individual if he lets another kid make his college decision for him. And who's we've known? Your the only one for keeps repeating this. Also your telling me the AD would also have swayed him away from Louisville? If all this is true then I guess Romeo is capable of making his own decisions imo.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote

You’re certain of something that has some logic to support it, and yet ignore and refute all other logical explanations. Let’s assume Romeo is someone who is going to let someone else pick his school for him. If his father is telling him to go to Indiana, who do you think wins between Tim Langford and Darius Garland? Seriously, your narrative is so full of holes, it’s astonishing that I need to point them out to you. BTOWN, thebigweave, CSP and 9 others 12 Quote

Lots of people live right outside New Albany, including those who cover college and high school basketball as a profession. They don't know where Romeo is going. His buddy has the scoop because he lives in the general area? This is nothing. It might happen to be correct, but not because this guy knows anything. Vandy has recruited him from the beginning and when drew took the job he reaffirmed the offer so vandy has been on him with Drew’s staff since he took over Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
