The minute grimes committed to Kansas and Self had Dotson and MacCormack already in the fold (3 McDonald’s all Americans) getting Romeo would be the cherry on top but not necessary. Self has said in the past and I will paraphrase (in recruiting if you are hearing yes more than no then you are not recruiting good enough players). Garland would be the only reason and to me it's not the deciding factor it's made out to be. He may still go to Vandy.
