Bossi is from Kansas City and I believe I read went to Kansas. Also from Rabby on the other site, he said that it sounds like Bossi got his info from Drew who is telling people that Vandy & KU are out in front of IU. Self could have had a bad home visit but they are the top Adidas school. 

So the world's greatest recruiter drew is now leaking information. Classy.

Does anyone on btb have any "ins" with the Pope?   If so, maybe he could change the church calendar and start Lent like today and we could all give up posting in this thread until Easter '18.  By that time, the high school season will be over and we'll all know just where Romeo is going.   Just a thought!

No ins with the Pope. But I do have a means (LEGALLY, lol) of obtaining some happy pills for any in the crowd who may need it. Although, now that I think about it, I may rescind the offer until the spring.

Dude. It took me 3 games to tell Archie is a better Xs and Os coach. I think he's a lot like Bill Self but not a ****** like Self.

Yes he's a better coach. But we will see how much success that translates into. Recruiting is key.

I understand your point but I'm not inclined to believe that will help.  He will have the same green light virtually anywhere he goes.

If he really wants to win a championship, he has to know even with Shittu and Garland he isn't winning one at Vandy.  I'm not saying that IU gives him a great shot to win a championship either, however, it is becoming pretty apparent that IU with Romeo would be better than Vandy with Romeo next year.

In the end, even if he doesn't care all that much about winning a championship, I don't see what advantages Vanderbilt provides over IU.

I think it will be key for IU show some improvement over the course of the season while Vanderbilt hopefully continues to tank.

Vandy has Darius Garland recruiting for them. Nothing more..nothing less. Romeo doesn't solve that problem for them. 

Losing Romeo isn't an indictment on the current staff. It will be far more difficult for TJD to say no to IU than Romeo. Indiana was never high on his list and Archie put us in position to have a seat at the table. I'm not gonna lose my mind when the inevevitable happens. Archie is head and shoulders above Crean as a tactician. Time will tell whether he can recruit and sustain success at Indiana. Keep in mind he doesn't have a single player on the roster (that's able to play), that he scouted, recruited, and brought into the program. I won't start panicking until we strike out on all of our primary targets in the 2019 class. 

Short term forecast looks uncertain but I think the long term forecast is trending upward overall. I love next years class. CAM needs a foundation to build his house on.... next years class with what we currently have, puts us in position to only need 1-2 headliners in the near future.

BEDFORD - New Albany senior star Romeo Langford, likely destined to be the next Indiana Mr. Basketball, is still in hot pursuit of the state's career scoring record.

Langford scored 42 points on Saturday during a 97-59 blowout win over Fort Wayne North, raising his career total to 2,255 as he continues his chase of Damon Bailey's mark of 3,134.

While he is still within striking range, Langford will need to continue his prolific pace in order to approach the Bedford North Lawrence legend at the top of the chart.

Langford is currently averaging 35.2 through New Albany's first five games, including a career-high 48 in the season opener against Charlestown. He now needs 880 to break Bailey's mark, set in 1990.

To reach the top, the Bulldogs would have to play the maximum number of games (24 more, if New Albany plays three sectional games and reaches the Class 4-A state championship). Langford would have to average 36.6 during that run.

So, even with his torrid start, Langford has actually fallen slightly off the pace.

When the 2017-18 campaign began, Langford needed 1,056 points to break Bailey's record. That meant, if the Bulldogs played the maximum numbers of games (29) during his senior season, he would have to average 36.4 per game to get there.

Only four players in state history have scored 1,000 or more points in a single season. Carmel's Dave Shepherd holds the record of 1,079 points (in 29 games), set in 1970. New Castle's Steve Alford totaled 1,078 points (in 29 games) in 1983. Both averaged 37.2 per game.

The other two on that short list include Indianapolis Washington's George McGinnis (1,019 points in 31 games in 1969) and Park Tudor's Trevon Bluiett (exactly 1,000 in 28 games in 2014).

Since 1980, only six players have averaged over 35 points in a single season.
