Ever since he cancelled/never scheduled a visit to UNC everyone has said he could pop anyday. I was under the impression he would definitely take more than ONE visit but Vandy has been it so far which is another reason why Vandy goes were confident and rightfully so. 

Archie isn't against recruiting more kids this year, but he focused on the 4 commits, Romeo and Garland mainly as well as a few others for a bit. Archie could call every kid in America, the question is which ones will listen. IU had some interest in Shittu at some point so it wouldn't be crazy if it happened but I haven't seen anything that would suggest we will. UK will definitely get involved IMO.

I gotta say I have a little smirk on my face with the possibility the vandy insiders will have to sweat this one out until april. They were an awfully cocky group the last few weeks.

UK was involved at one point before they prioritized jaxson Hayes. I guess that there was conflict between RJ Barrett and Shittu because after Barrett went to duke some people were saying UK would get back involved. Just my opinion but if he doesn’t sign today Oregon and UK will be involved

Forgot about Oregon. They are always a threat with Canadian kids. Hadn't heard about the Barrett conflict though so that's good to know. I didn't know if UK's pursuit of Hayes was legit, sounds like it was though. Think he makes a nove up the rankings by the end of the year. Competition is gonna grow for Shittu though and as you said those 2 along w others will likely join the mix. 

A lot of kids seem to be trying to stay close to home more this year though so my confidence for Romeo hasn't went anywhere. Gonna be fun to follow as well as Shittu and Simons. Really curious where he goes.

People who say they'd rather lose Romeo Langford or Darius Garland to Vanderbilt than a school like UK or UNC are crazy.  It stings super hard to lose a recruit to freakin' Vanderbilt.

Seriously, I don't want to lose Romeo to anyone obviously, but if we do, I hope it's Kansas instead of Vanderbilt.

I'm scared we are going to miss out on Romeo due to our team losing so much this year. We are no where close to competing for anything.  We have some nice pieces coming in next year,  but I'm afraid it's going to be too late.

Really don’t see Romeo commiting to IU. They aren’t anywhere near Kansas’s level.. And Vandy is going to end up with commitments from Garland and Shittu. Forming a ‘Big 3’ has to be appealing. If we land Romeo I believe we'll compete in the B1G next season. A year under their belt; Green, Durham, Smith, Thompson, Moore, and Davis will look a lot better. This all hinges on them becoming dogs and excel at the mental aspect of the game. Hunter will also be a plus. That should take care of the guard and wing positions with the wildcard being Davis. Add an elite scorer in Romeo and we compete in year 2.

Thee record won't matter as long as the freshman and sophomores continue to progress. The reality is when you have to play seniors that don't care to play defense and make horrible decisions it I hard to win. I'm sure Romeo knows that the record won't be the best but things can be much improved next year as long as all the newcomers buy in to what CAM wants.

I agree the seniors are to embedded in crean ball to probably change enough at this point. Though Hartman maybe as he seems to have a high bball iq
