Bailey7878 Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Okay so here is my guess on the situation. This is from when Romeo was at UNC, obviously they had a good visit and Mr. Langford is a fan of Roy and UNC in general. But that last part is pretty telling if you ask me. He made it clear that they had a plan even though he said that Romeo could make the call at anytime. Similar to what he said to ITH, but he goes the extra step with ITH to say they could cancel the KU visit. That means something to me, I don’t think this family is the kind to let words slip out without meaning. I think Romeo made his decision this weekend. Right now I think they are just checking the boxes and making sure they know how and when they want everything to happen. I could see him taking his OV to KU still and then announcing before the season and I could see him announcing this week. I could be completely wrong but I really think this is what is going on. I may just be drunk on that Hoosier Kool Aid from yesterday but it makes sense. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appLets hope so. These kids are more linked than we have been led to believe. They aren't stupid either They know together they can be one of if not the best back courts in the country. Hopefully we showed them a front court that can also be up there. Coach Shannon....great coach and a hell of a nice guy... ALASKA HOOSIER and MemphisHoosier 2 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Yes he is. And I heard something like, Archie invited Shannon to come up there. This guy is the total opposite of Crean. He's building relationships with the in-state coaches. The Langford’s invited him to come with them on their visit according to rabjohns Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
Popular Post hoosierpap Posted October 23, 2017 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2017 Honestly, not sure that could have gone better barring a spur of the moment commitment...which if you've been following this one you know wasn't happening BtownBanner6, Napleshoosier, IUsafety and 21 others 24 Quote

I spent more time watching the recruits than watching the scrimmage. Several different guys sat down to talk with Romeo including Damon Bailey. Anyone know who the guy was in the IU sweatshirt that sat by Romeo for a good while near the end of the scrimmage? Damon knows Romeo well. AKHoosier Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 I think it's a matter of time before more crystal ball predictions start rolling in for IU here. When that happens, I'll be fully torqued for however long before he commits. Bobman1 and Me So Hornsby 2 Quote

Jerry Meyer will ride out Kansas until the very end and that just leaves a couple of Kansas insiders. Sent from my SM-G930P using BtownBanners mobile app Iugradman 1 Quote

CSP Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Damon knows Romeo well. One BNL plays New Albany and two he has a shot to break Damon's all-time state scoring record. Me So Hornsby Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 I feel like Self putting the full court press on Grimes is good news. Wonder if they got word that one of their other targets was going elsewhere [emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Iugradman 1 Quote

Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted October 23, 2017 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2017 Post-HH quotes from Tim Langford. If someone has already posted them elsewhere I apologize. “To be honest with you, it was exciting,” Tim Langford said. “It was unexpected really. We didn’t know what to expect on that, but with them doing that, it was a great atmosphere. I felt it personally. I know my son did. The whole family did.” “Mainly, coach Miller, he really had the vision for how he can use Romeo,” Tim Langford said. “He showed the style of play they play, up and down, which my son likes doing. Getting the ball in his hands. He was the main one talking about how they could use him. “He pretty much laid the plan down. I think my son, he likes the style of play and what (Archie's) trying to do at Indiana University.” MIUGA, HoosierAloha, mdn82 and 9 others 12 Quote
