Popular Post Stuhoo Posted February 12, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2016 By the way...Harrison Niego...WOW! It looked like Mike Gesell was being guarded by his Cream and Crimson clone. Only...our Mike Gesell is a freshman walkon, and he was better than their Mike Gesell! DawgBawls, Crimson and Cream, JaybobHoosier and 7 others 10 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 ESPN doesn't post minutes played. Anyone know how many TB logged? 10/7 wasn't bad for no longer than he was in. Give it a few minutes and refresh. They eventually post minutes played. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
Yogi'sBicep Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Yogi didn't play well. Rob made up for yogi a lot Troy had an upper class men like game Hartman is a winner, obvi TB dominated when he was in - got jobbed OG didn't seem to play much to me? (Watched on and off.. work) Juwan did well in limited mins NZ3 was huge in 1 half!! But Niego(sp) really played well I thought, excited for him in a few years. Gonna be a good player. Bielfedt really makes a difference, love when he's in. Overall I think we played decent. In my eyes, we are better than they are. They've dogged us nonstop on their forums, gonna go look now. Popular Post Josh Posted February 12, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2016 We had more intensity tonight than against Penn State where all our players looked tired. But somehow we got outrun on quite a few transition buckets. Iowa is a more athletic team than I thought. The Hawkeyes have swept Michigan State and Purdoo. We beat them. Eat it. rebelhoosier848891 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 We just keep doing what we do in The Hall.....beat ranked teams. Our slogan still fits: YOU RANK THEM---WE SPANK THEM! hyzy 1 Quote
hoosierdogg Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Tom B getting Tom P type fouls. The last foul was pure BS. Yogi misses 10 shots and only has 1 assist, Troy didn't clock in until the second half, and Hoosiers knock off number 4/5. Not the best game, but still managed to win. Hopefully saving the Michigan type performance for MSU. Let's sweep the Michigans on the road! All 10 Hoosiers scored. Only the 5 Iowa starters scored - 0 Iowa bench points. Hawkeye starting five is good, significant drop off after that. What would happen if they would run into foul trouble. Also, all Iowa starting 5 played 30 minutes or more, Jok with just 30 because he went out with the leg issues. otherwise it would have been 32 minutes or more. I can't see Iowa making a deep run in the tournaments, B1G or NCAA, with no bench. Josh, sirhoosierlot, JaybobHoosier and 3 others 6 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Knew this win was coming. Refs didn't help AT ALL. What was up with those refs?? One of the more enjoyable games for me personally. My son watched the entire game with me. Was really into it. He liked that we beat the #4 team. I told him we are about the lose to the #8 team soon. Lol. Raincloud. Again, what was up with those refs? Don't they know it's the Hall of Calls? JaybobHoosier, Ranger78 and HoosierAloha 3 Quote
incrediboy Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 When we hustle, we are a good team. Period, flat-out good. And while they shredded our defense a few times for easy lay-ups, our halfcourt defense was pretty good considering the offensive clout we were facing. Got down, got up again and put it away. This has to be a confidence builder, and we really needed one going into Spartytown. Chance to beat two really good teams in a four-day span. Ranger78, HoosierAloha, lillurk and 1 other 4 Quote
Sota Hoosier Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Fun game to watch other than the refs completely boning us on calls the entire game. Getting off to a good start is so important for this team. So proud of battling back after the game got close and they got down. And with Yogi having an "off" night?? I'll take it. Crean's focus on keeping things simple certainly paid off. You could see the concentration on making the easy plays for MOST of the game (still had some brutal TOs). It's crazy that even with all the dismissals/transfers/injuries, we are still so deep. So many guys that can score in a variety of ways. Needed this win. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
Yogi'sBicep Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Great we won a close scoring game. Biggest defense in the last year is pride in D. Proud day for me. AND I AINT AFRAID OF NO SPARTY ALASKA HOOSIER and incrediboy 2 Quote
DChoosier Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 The three players that many would say are our best: Bryant sat out a lot Yogi 2-12 Williams did not dominate But we stil beat the team that has swept PU and MSU. Far from perfect but still...we beat the 4th ranked team in the country. Penn State loss was horrible but getting a signature win helps our NCAA standing more than the PSU loss hurt. A few positives: 11 TO's not bad, especially they we looked early in the year against really bad teams. We had 10 players score, Iowa 5. Overall D continues to look better but the 5 minutes or so when we let their transition offense get behind us was terrible. Ranger78, hoosierdogg, ALASKA HOOSIER and 1 other 4 Quote
Popular Post bleedhoosier Posted February 12, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2016 I'm telling you guys. College basketball is turning into big time wrestling. It's is blatantly obvious that the refs change their calls based on creating drama in the game. They were not going to let us put the nail in the coffin with a few mins left. They did what they needed to in order to create drama. It's a business move to keep the sport extremely exciting. There is a reason March Madness exists. But Nick Z, Rojo and Hartman. Wow fellas, great game And that free throw Stat line?? Shooting 90% as a team. Game winner. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk HoosierAloha, hoosierdogg, Class of '66 Old Fart and 6 others 9 Quote
DChoosier Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 The story of this game: 1st half: Good Troy Good Troy Troy rests Good Troy 2nd half: Bad Troy Bad Troy Troy gets yanked and sat Good Troy Great Troy Final score: Good Troy and IU win! That could be nearly every game. Quote

colonel06 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Lol, I love the 9 P.M. games. But I work night shift sooooooo I guess that makes sense.. Not bad for me as it was only 5 PM in Hawaii..... for a few more days anyway;) HoosierAloha and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote
hoosierdogg Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 IU bench out scored Iowa's bench 28-0 The 4 Iowa bench players played a combined 31 minutes, and that's only because Jok went out for a few minutes with the leg injury. Hoosiers much deeper than Iowa, Wonder how that will play out for Iowa when they may potentially play three games in three days in the B1G tournament. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Was Yogi's inefficient night on offense due to his tough defense against Jok? I still have no idea how Jok wasn't called for one of his double digit push-offs or moving screens. Loved Yogi fighting on defense though.
