Yup. 5-0. Hate that this team plays down to the competition but they are still winning, and on the road. Gotta give this team props for pulling out the W's.

Officiating was horrible but we got the win. 5-0 in the B1G with 3 of those wins coming on the road is nothing to complain about.

Gutted out a win to get to 5-0 with 2 home games coming up against Illinois and Northwestern.

A win is a win.  We're doing just enough, in most games, to get it done.  I couldn't care less about style points if we keep winning. 

 

Great to see Z3 back!!  He carried us during a stretch when nothing was falling.  Yogi closed down the stretch.  We played much better team defense to start the second half.

If you would have told me we could win ugly at the start of the year I would have laughed at you.  I will take it.  5-0 with 3 on the road to the 3 worst teams.  First year we could say that in a while to either.

My notes:

 

-Terrible first 10 minutes. Offense looked terrible but our defense was somewhat there.

-Welcome back Nicky

-Troy & RoJo went back missing... need to find them soon.

-Byrant played nice downlow. Had some post moves and decent defense. Looks like he's practicing for the NBA with those flops

 

 

With a week off, i guess this was supposed to happen. Minny came out fighting, we came out looking like we just got back from KOK. The All-American, Yogi saved the day and is the MVP imo. 

 

5-0!

Playing to the level of competition, yes.  But the lopsided officiating was just blatant in this game.  Home team will get an advantage, but this was over the top.

Illinois we should definitely win, and Northwestern for that matter, but Northwestern is looking good right now.

What has been going on with Rob and Troy? Im fine with Crean keeping them out at the end of games if they keep playing like that. I just wish he would of had TB in at the end. Thank goodness for yogi, he was gassed at the end. I don't think we understand how much we will miss him when he leaves

-Would like to see how many fouls called on us compared to Minny

-RoJo is just underwhelming since JBJ got hurt

-Without yogi we are nothing

-Troy's playing time needs to be decided in the first 5-8 minutes of game. Bad Troy OG gets minutes, good Troy OG relieves him. I revert any comments I've made of Troy being s mismatch or NBA player after this year/ too inconsistent.

-OG and Max do nice basketball things.

-Hartman is a very... Average..... Defender // good team player.

-NZ3 shoots like that and we'll tear up the B1G.

-TB need to check his drama at the door.

-Yogi didn't shoot well today, but did what All Americans do and played through it with good hustle plays, assists, and grit.

-Good chance to go 7-0


Overall, ugly win. But, fought hard through adversity. That's okay with me. Good day to be a Hoosier.

At the end of the game, I thought it ironic that the Minnesota players were complaining to the refs about them fouling IU and no whistle.

Any win in the Barn is big, even against an o'fer Gopher. Two big reasons for our change for the positive this season; defense and playing hard. If you play good defense and play hard, you can still win games when you dont play yur best. Plus, you can win the close ones. The huge discrepancy in fouls/FTA on paper looks like a loss. Our playing hard combined with tough defense was the difference. I was proud of the product today.
