I like Collins and wish him well, but I can't imagine the phone is ever gonna ring with that call.

I really thought he was going to be so much better than he turned out. Once they got in the tournament I thought they could be that hovering Iowa style team. Wrong on that one.

He’d be a nice assistant at IU though.

B1G head coaches don't EVER become B1G assistant coaches, do they?

Illinois just landed a D3 player who will have to sit a year to play two with them. Much like Hoiberg, Illinois seems to be filling their roster with players who have long odds of ever being key contributors. His DIII stats for his year at Connecticut Wesleyan are:

Austin Hutcherson

I’d take those 3PT and FT % from our guards...

The fact that Duncan Robinson was so notable is proof that there are very, very few Duncan Robinsons.

Very true. But watched some clips of Hutcherson and 3 things are apparent: 1) He’s exceptionally long, 2) he won’t be out of place athletically, and, 3) the kid has a great looking stroke with deep range and has good footwork shooting both off the dribble and catch. Not hard to see his appeal. Plus, since I also feel confident in saying that I’m the biggest Brad Underwood believer on this board, I expect the kid to have a nice 2 year run.

This could be big in a dominoes effect for Butler who is putting together a really nice 2020 class.
