UConn today picked up its third top-100 recruit for 2016.  We've picked up Grant Gelon who is probably a capable back-up player and Josh Newkirk who at the moment is damaged merchandise after having had microfracture surgery.  I'm worried and I readily admit I'm worried about next season's roster and our current recruiting efforts.  I just can't shake the feeling that we're going to get left at the altar and it will be last minute scrounging to fill the 2016 roster, i.e., MSB, April, Holt....

My wish for 2016 is that we can get through the entire season (summer/off-season, preseason, season and post-season) with NO MORE off-court issues. It should be a given, but it sure seems to be damn near impossible lately.

Our 2016 recruiting has been extremely underwhelming. You can't recruit like this and be a national contender.

We have a LONG way to go to have the type of recruiting class we need for 2016.

Too many other Universities knocking it out of the park with recruiting. We aren't amongst them.

You could argue the only two that we have a real shot at are Davis and Jones. I just see this getting way worse before it gets better.

That Early Duke game or Kansas game could be huge for recruiting. If we beat a national powerhouse on a large stage it could be a catapult.

Then again, I thought having 2 top 5 draft picks in the same year would be too.

. I think they helped us sign elite talent. Just not enough to give us balance. Sucks that we can't be like the UK's and Duke's and just get whoever we want.

We've also  had a wee bit of problem in keeping the talent we do sign for a variety of reasons.
