Some of you are just getting your undies all in a knot for no good reason.  I agree with ctown2 that he's trolling and he's having a lot of fun reading the analyses we make of his tweets.  The soiree at Ruth's Chris isn't just about a stay or go decision (BTW he's staying); there's simply more to it than that.   And I'm going to continue to wear my rose-colored glasses until I have to see my optometrist for a prescription change.  So everybody just calm down, practice some lamaze techniques and it will all be over in a week.

If he is trolling the fans another perfect example of the senior-to-be's leadership capabilities. It's also a perfect example to show the scouts. If his "announcement" has anything to do with whether he's staying or going it looks bad either way.

But on the flip side, what about all the 'trolling' that gets posted on these threads and other forums some of which is nothing more than rumor based and gets pretty nasty and very pointed at specific players and the head coach in particular?  I think he's a 21-year old kid having a lot of fun and maybe, just maybe, his leadership is being demonstrated quite nicely by leading so many 'sheep to slaughter' by creating such angst and hand wringing among the brethren.  If I'm totally wrong in how I think this is going to play out, I will be the first to admit it come next Saturday night.  But what do I know, I'm just an Old Fart!  :wink:

Saw the tweet.  Regardless of what it's about, he has to know how the fanbase would react.  Looks to me like he's having a little fun at our expense.  Do I like it? No. But he's had to put up with a lot of negative tweets and posts himself from the same fanbase over the last two seasons. A little payback?  Maybe.  I find myself wondering how Knight would have reacted to all of this?  It's a good thing he got out of coaching before the full social media world hit home.  My comment as a diehard old-schooler is "Yogi---quit messin' with us---if you know just tell us already. If you don't---keep quiet. We will accept your decision either way and move on."  I still think he's coming back but I DO NOT like how he has handled this at all.  IU First!
