YOGI--You Stayed! Now Lead Us To Glory!

Sounds good to me.

I believe he's coming back too--- but I am nervous with all the recruiting we are still doing.

The continued recruiting and offering of scholarships when we're already oversigned is disturbing.  We certainly don't know what's going on behind the scenes but it's a disturbing habit nonetheless.  Brad Stevens made some interesting comments about his recruiting philosophy at Butler in an interview yesterday with Dan Patrick and it's quite a contrast from what we see.

I haven't seen any recruiting picking up on 15 PGs. Have I missed something?

No.  There's just a lot of chatter that we are recruiting a SG so JBJ and/or RoJo could slide over to the PG position.  Also all kinds of chatter on other boards about behind the scenes possibilities with certain graduate transfer PG's with Indiana connections.  I personally don't buy into the conspiracy theories and think Yogi will be back.  I admit I am nervous about it though.

Man I hope we can have a complete team next year. The last several years we have had glaring weaknesses. This next season we have the ability to be special if all the peices fall into place. With Yogi, JBJ, and a couple other guys we have a deadly outside presence. Troy driving to the bucket for the and one. The addition of TB we now have a true inside presence. The thought of this team is very exciting!

Can't see how someone goes to a steakhouse loaded with IU fans and announces that they're going to the draft. Just doesn't seem like something you'd wanna do unless you enjoy getting booed.

In this situation. If you're projected in the lottery I could see it. I just don't understand why a senior-to-be "leader" or fringe second rounder does this. It screams "team leader" (sarcasm font) to me. Maybe there's more to it but not my kind of leader.

I just can't wait for this announcement. I'd love to have Yogi back but if he doesn't want to be here anymore than I don't want him here either. It wouldn't diminish anything he's done here if he leaves. I just want guys that are all in and anyone that's not no matter who it is shouldn't be here. I hope he does come back though because I think it gives us a damn good shot at contending despite our coaching situation.

what exactly has he done? He has talent and has been a solid player for iu but his tenure has been marred by dissapointment. If he leaves early to go disappear somewhere for money when iu has chance at success with him then he will put a exclamation point on all the struggle we have had while he has been a hoosier.

Not arguing one bit. If you've seen most of my posts regarding Yogi I've never said he was anything more than a good player at best. Definitely not one of the players that comes to mind when thinking of the best to play here. But I'm also not going to put the struggles the program has had while he's been here on him. Those land at the feet of the guy I think should've been shown the door already.

I wasn't looking to argue and I agree with what you said. I am just saying aside from some great stats his iu tenure hasn't been one anybody wants to remember.

I didn't mean it as you were trying to argue, I was just saying I wasn't disagreeing with what you said. My bad on that.
