Yogi Thanks Fans

Are you encouraging him to transfer?

No I just hope his supporting cast can come back next year improved and hopefully also bring on either TB or TM. The silly drives in the lane only to get blocked and unforced turnovers can't continue next year if we want to make a legitimate run in the tourny next year (which is what yogi deserves after giving what he has to this team/program)

Sounds like he views this season as pretty successful. Any why wouldn't he. We were ranked for a few weeks. Everyone thought we would be incredibly awful, but instead we were just ok. Btw who picked us 12th? What's he talking about?

Crean has been preaching the "us against the world" motto all season to the players. He set their mindset up to believe any win was a miracle and blessing. He was trying to coach the underdog role as he loves to do. Instead, players bought into thinking they were actually underdogs. Hence the mindset.

I firmly believe that this is a prime example of a very, very good Hoosier player who gets a lot of support on campus expressing thanks for that support.

It's as simple as that, and any reading of this beyond this simple fact is, in my opinion, waaaay overreaching.

And Doc Libby agrees! ;)

Geez, some of y'all could take a baby's giggle and turn it into some "read between the lines" ultra conspiracy, or use it as an excuse to remind all what's wrong with whatever is bugging you.

And some of you never do that!

(FWIW, all of you should never do that.)

I reread the posts in this thread and did not see that. Some complained that Yogi, like Crean, refer to this year as a success but that is not reading between the lines is it?

You gotta remember this fan base reads into every single tweet, picture, or rumor.

I think the only reason we're worked up about this is that if there is one thing that all IU fans agree on right now is that Yogi is the consummate embodiment of what we want in an IU player. Even the thought of losing him early, especially given how tumultuous things appear to be right now, is gut-wrenching.

For what it's worth, I think Yogi returns and has the kind of season a player of his caliber and a person of his quality deserves.
