WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 @HuntingtonPrep: Thomas Bryant (Mizzou, UK, Cuse, Indiana) has been nominated for the @McDAAG. Now we just need to get that invite. IUsafety 1 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 @JeffRabjohns: Miles Bridges 21 points, Curtis Jones 19, Thomas Bryant 11 points, 7 rebs for Huntington Prep in its 81-65 win over Prolific Prep. Post #922. Anyone want to tell Mrs. Bryant, the Hoosier faithful would take good care of her son? mamasa, GloryDays and ccgeneral 3 Quote
chitown hoosier Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Well if anything Syracuse is in the same boat as us if not worse. Cannot see Mccoulah (sp?) leaving now because of his injury so they would be oversigned if Bryant commits. News of possible sanctions should be coming out soon. This really leaves UK and us and I'm getting the feeling from recent updates that he's seriously leaning UK. I just don't get though why so many top recruits all want to play there. I understand the nba drafts on potential but he will never be an impact star there like he would here. Just look at Marcus lee. He could've been something great here but he barely contributes. just boggles my mind. GloryDays and Alabaster Thunder 2 Quote

He didn't really develop them they were going pro regardless of where they went, but I get the mindset from the kid's perspective. He's selling that for all it's worth and right now it's worth A LOT in the mind of the most sought after recruits in the country, and the success UK has had with him certainly doesn't hurt. It's also Cal and UK, neither one will ever be considered a beacon of integrity in the corrupt world of the NCAA, so extra benefit$ are definite possibility. Considering Eric Bledsoe couldn't even spell ACT, much less pass one, and somehow those two got him admitted to a university only makes it look more likely. bnkepner, jonz44 and Alabaster Thunder 3 Quote

The funny thing is a big majority of the kids that have gone to the NBA through Kentucky are now rotation players and bench warmers in the NBA. Apart from Anthony Davis, Cousins, and Wall. Nerlens Noel starts for the 76s but that isn't much to brag about. Bledsoe could be a superstar but has injury problems. They have gotten a lot of players to the NBA but Calipari doesn't really do anything to prepare them for that. jonz44 1 Quote
chitown hoosier Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 The thing is Cal used to get a lot of top players but never had lineups like this year. Very good players are just not getting the minutes they should be. I would think a lot of these top kids would have a much better chance at being one and dones if they just went to another school to be showcased. bnkepner, Alabaster Thunder and Geometry Hoosier 3 Quote

I hear Cal on the radio the other day and his big point was his players in the NBA are nearing 1 Billion in total contracts. This a huge selling point. Hovadipo and jonz44 2 Quote

yogisballin Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 @insidethehall: RT @EvanDaniels Thomas Bryant will take a visit to Kentucky tonight. UK is playing Missouri, who Bryant is also considering. As much as this absolutely kills me to say, it's actually a pretty nice recruiting move by Calimari. Bring him for a visit against 1 of his top 4. Then get his current team pumped/fired up to destroy them the way they did. I can't stand that guy Quote

I would want to go somewhere that I knew that I could get the most pt. Well of course the team needs to be halfway decent as well. We are a big away from being a good team. Hanner would be a solid backup Quote
