Based on age and recruiting rankings that is how we should look now. Coach B is just on fire recently. It’s quite remarkable. Archie is not proving to be a BLine at this point. After their first finals game a lot of people were pissed that it was delaying the inevitable. Edit: the Crean thing was when we were having a lot of success against them and most thought we were back and didn’t realize we hit our ceiling. But there were plenty of fans on Scout back around the 2011-2013 years that felt that way. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
Stuhoo Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 You guys need a giggle? Purdue is a pretty decent but not exceptional team this year (that's Purdue most years). They lost last night to a good FSU team by a bucket; PU got tight down the stretch. Now for the funny part: Their "good defense/terrible offense" point guard Nojel Eastern's mother is a regular poster on the PU free board. This board had an element of that twice; DocLibby (yogi's mom) was a true gem, and Troy's mom was a crazy-train experience. Anyway, after the game Eastern's mom posted 'the ol' slippery shoes' explanation: Treed1967Redshirt Freshman Joined: Apr 13, 2017 Messages: 1,153 Likes Received: 3,138 Gross effort did nothing positive look at his stats. 4 t/o so did others shut down Mann collected 5 rebounds besides not scoring the ball more he was instrumental in that comeback to take the lead but u wanna criticize his efforts. His shoes was slippery he changed them that definitely helped him not turning it over. The t/o late in game hurted but not reason we lost. He did a lot of things well but to say he gave no effort what game were u watching. Str8Hoosiers, IUc2016, Hutch89 and 3 others 3 3 Quote

You can talk bad about any player on the team but better not bring up Nojel, or mama gonna get you. Nojel should have stayed in the draft (dws). Him coming back this year is only causing his draft stock to fall.... or dare I say, slip... BGVille Hoosierfan, Stuhoo, Hutch89 and 1 other 3 1 Quote

And some starting to rethink the Archie hire.Yeah I am sure that stat won’t get many responses but that is why we would see their fans on Scout complaining about him. They treated him like Mike Davis after their first run and there were some that openly said they wished he didn’t make that run and delay the inevitable. Fans just have a short memory when it doesn’t involve their team. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app woodenshoemanHoosierfan and BGleas 2 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 Thanks x100! Alot on here probably doesn't realize this. And some starting to rethink the Archie hire. The hire made perfectly good sense. Not necessarily the home run dream hire but it was one of best options available. The recruiting is looking great so far. On court results aren’t there yet, and many are disappointed. I predicted this would be a three-four year build based what was going on but then we got Romeo and Juwan returns and the team acts like they are a “great team-(Juwan)”and looking to make NCAA noise. Expectations raised to probably reasonable levels as a top 25 team, top 5 seed. Time will tell what happens and the next 4 games will give us an early window. I like Archie and honestly think it’ll get figured out, it just looks like it’s going to be a bumpier road than anticipated. Plus we need to land our primary targets in 2019 as I believe we will.
