Uspshoosier Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 So if their HC matters how come Gards gotta pay for Ryan's bad losses?good point someone should ask the chairman that question Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Syracuse won't dance at 19-13 IMO. Big loss today. They had a lot of talent to end up 19-13. BGleas, IUsafety and biteoftheapple 3 Quote

Trish Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 if iu wants a chance at a 2 seed you want best teams available to play to boost resume so Michigan Well honestly if we win the tourney , we are a lock for a 2 seed imo. Uspshoosier Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Well honestly if we win the tourney , we are a lock for a 2 seed imo. Regardless if we play northwestern or Michigani would say it would depend on who we played to win it and what the teams in front of iu did in their conference tournaments. If we beat northwestern, a 12 seed and say Ohio st in the finals there would be a chance we wouldn't get a 2. I just threw out a senerio where we won and possibly wouldn't be a 2. I do not think this will happen. Quote

HoosierAloha Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Glad Duke brought the defense today Implementing IU's defense at Cameron earlier in the season. Quote
Walking Boot of Doom Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Ingram hitting threes though. Worked out well for you all last time he lit up a team from the perimeter... Quote
HoosierAloha Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 And honestly NC State beating Duke in the ACC tourney? Not likely. Quote

BGleas Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I really don't think who we play Friday will have any bearing on our seeding, unless we lose. IMO the only games that will improve our seeding would be the potential Saturday/Sunday games. if iu wants a chance at a 2 seed you want best teams available to play to boost resume so Michigan Quote
Str8Hoosiers Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 i think it will depend on how the committee looks at the games beihiem was suspended. My take is it shouldn't matter but others say it should be a factor I agree, it should not matter. It was, this team afterall. Just curious why you feel this way? To me Coaching definitely matters... there is a reason the Elite teams are elite and I know some/a lot of it has to do with talent level but to me coaching changes everything... 4-5 Record without the Head Coach 15-8 Record with the Head Coach Depending on the coach it matters a lot... if a HOF coach is missing that changes things, if a 3rd year coach at a small program is suspended 9 games the outcomes probably aren't any different. *** Not to bash on Crean at all here, but I can't count how many times I have heard that other coaches could have won national titles with our talent but Crean couldn't.... Its the teams record that qualifies them for the tourney. Not the coaches record. If we toss the losses without Boeheim we must also toss the wins. At that point we,are talking a 14 win season. Also, Wisconsins record will be judged with pre Gard numbers. Not to mention that the missed games was due to NCAA sanctions. So, certainly should be consequences. Quote

I feel they should take in account these games without him because he put the team in the position of having to play the games without him. If the committee decided to not count the games he didn't coach then what was the point of suspending him in the first place. Actions have consequences or at least should have. In my opinion they should be counted for that reason. I can imagine their fans are going to be saying if we would of landed Bryant we would of been top 15. Thank you again Thomas for picking iu HoosierAloha 1 Quote
