Duke looks like a prime example of a team that will eventually get upset by a 13-seed again this year. The high school one and done route hasn’t worked in over a decade. I don’t care how generational Flagg is, they’re gonna get beat by 24 year old men in the big dance.

Yet we lose our collective minds when 18 year old one and done high school recruits choose elsewhere? Make it make sense.

One conclusion I have made, while watching UK-Duke, is that once again a BT team won’t win the Natty.

Both teams shot less than 40% from the field. Duke was 4-23 from the perimeter. That alone would add 10 pages to a certain never ending thread.

Great game. These teams are absolutely competing. Mark Popes UK just hits different than Calipari. I don’t hate them nearly as much, yet.

Flagg seems like he’ll live up to the hype and end up being a top 3 pick.

When I hear people talk or read about Flagg it seemed to me he’s supposed to be some automatic #1 pick NBA teams might tank for.

I have watched him 3 times now if you include the high school game that was on ESPN last year, and I don’t see it. Nice player and I’m sure he’ll get drafted high. I’m not even convinced he will be very good in the pros. With that said I understand he’s young and just turned 18 or something. If you told me consensus top 10 pick, then I would agree.

Interesting question because it probably ties to what an org is looking for. I love the kid, think he’s great. Have no problem seeing him as an 18/8 and 4-5 assts with a couple of blocks and steals and a DPOY candidate every year who brings it every night. To me that’s a #1 all day. But if they’re looking for a 25 pt alpha scorer or an offensive fulcrum, maybe/maybe not. Maybe Bailey makes more sense in that scenario or even Harper, though I’d take Flagg over Harper 7 days out of 7. What would’ve been really fun to watch is if Dybantsa was in this draft. That kid might be a 30pt guy, but he doesn’t do anything else as well and he doesn’t always bring it. That would make a really interesting study in priorities.

Pope is a damn good coach. Pains me to say that. He could end up getting UK rolling better than Cal.

It was for sure time for Cal to go. I think Pope will bring a lot of new energy to that program....even though I don't want there to be lol

Cuse up 3 over Colgate

Trees up 3 over SIU E.  Big 3 for Teel.   Teel= Swope for this team.  Still weird not knowing any of these new guys for ISU

Gray, Vorst and Daughtry are the only returnees I believe.
