I'm trying to figure how on earth stripes gets offensive foul from this. ... Borovicanin leaves his feet. He is inside the arc. Bailey doesn't use either arm to create space. I'm flummoxed. I have no horse in this race and yet I'm so incensed by this call -- I just threw a chair! go iu bb, hoosierbgh, HoosierAloha and 1 other 1 3 Quote

Refs should get suspended for such flagrantly bad calls and fired if they make too many of them. Coincidentally, I'm watching a documentary about Tim Donaghy right now. They talk about some of the s**t that NBA refs pull along with how they'll hold grudges against players, coaches, and teams and call games according to those grudges. I'm sure NCAA refs are the same. I’m forgetting which ref it was but remember a game where the ref challenged Tim Duncan to a fight. Talk about over the top. Duncan was just sitting on the bench laughing BGleas 1 Quote

They haven't been a national powerhouse since John Thompson II. John Thompson III had a couple of good teams but the program declined under him which was why he was fired. Since Thompson III the program has been in free fall culminating in the Patrick Ewing train wreck. Their practice and game facilities are awful. The Washington DC area produces some very good high school basketball players but Georgetown has struggled to land the best of them. Those that have gone to Georgetown recently have ended up transferring out. Notre Dame basketball has been in decline also but nowhere near as badly as Georgetown. And, Notre Dame has good facilities and a national recruiting base. Notre Dame would be a much better school for Shrewsberry to go to than Georgetown although there will probably be some other schools that are better for him than Notre Dame opening up. hoosierbgh 1 Quote

Crazy UCLA is competing with the injuries they've had 11 hours ago, Scotty R said: So are you saying we haven't competed this year with our injuries. I guess over coming a 1-4 start to finish tied for second wasn't competing. Your passive/aggressiveness slams on IU is getting old. I never stated we didn't compete at times this year. We did overcome a 1-4 start of our own making to finish a few games above .500 in the Big 1.o which was competing. IU has done some really nice things this season while falling flat in other areas. I've been discussing both throughout the season. If you're good with everything IU has done that's awesome for you. When there are plenty of examples to "rules" that people believe exist and identifying those examples hurt your feelings you don't have to read them or respond to them. It's really your choice. I believe the saying is something like "life is 10% your actions and 90% your reactions." Quote
