They are elite at maximizing what they have.  Edey is a matchup problem for most teams.  Tonight he's not -- Dickinson is playing him pretty even -- yet Purdue's less athletic supporting cast is simply outplaying Michigan's better athletes.  Matt Painter's coaching is light years ahead of Juwan Howard.

I agree Painter>Howard but they're not #1 in country. Play like this at SSAH and with TJD on and they'll get beat handily imo.

Purdue was driving middle from the perimeter any time they wanted. UM couldn’t keep anyone in front of them and were ambivalent at best when it came to helping over, at least in the 1st half. I didn’t watch the second.

Braden Smith will be looking to drive against us. He can get to the hoop and he’ll be carrying a chip on his shoulder on the way there.

I was at the USI game, I thought PU should have won it 15+ until I looked at the score since Um is missing some guys I think

I've said this before. Edey's greatest "skill" is being so big and not being a total stiff at the same time.

I don't think it's arguable that TJD is the more complete player...Edey is just huge and on the number 1 team in the country.  

Looking at them side by side....

Year Avg: 

- Edey avg. - 21.4 pts, 13 reb, 2.3 blocks 1.3 assists. 

- TJD avg. - 19.7 pts, 10.8 reb, 3.2 blocks, 3.4 assists. 

Over the last 7 games:

- Edey avg. - 20 pts, 12 reb, 2 blocks, 1.7 assists. 

- TJD avg. - 24 pts, 14 reb, 4 blocks, 4 assists

If TJD keeps this up, not sure how they give it to Edey over TJD.
