Zach Edey just got away with a huge obvious foul.  Edey hooked a Michigan State player and threw him to the for....foul called on a Michigan State player.

Can't believe this didn't generate more discussion. That was a punk move by Edey. He should have been thrown out for that, or at the very least, given a flagrant.

But this is the Big Ten, and the ref who inexplicably called a foul on Cissoko won't have to answer to anyone.

Tonight, FAU has managed to overcome a dominant 0-5 fg, 3 foul performance by Khristian Lander and is beating the snot out of W Kentucky on the road.

Nick Boyd is the real deal. 17-1 for the fighting hoots.

Who’s the jackwad that missed the wide open breakway dunk with about 3 minutes left? Cost me the over/under

Sports Illustrated currently has Zach Edey mocked to be the 55th overall pick in the 2023 draft.  I understand the NBA game is completely changed and that there is such a de-emphasis on big men, but it would seem that a good coach could certainly find spots to produce situational mismatches with Edey in.  Seems to me that he's worth more than a borderline not getting drafted grade.

I thought it should have been a flagrant but certainly not ejection worthy.  It certainly looked like a hook and hold foul and I'm not sure how the ref could ever come to the conclusion that it was actually a foul on the Michigan State player.

Was just looking at that same mock draft myself.  Maybe I'm trying to speak it into existence because I'm tired of seeing him at Purdue but If Tacko Fall and Boban Marjanovic can make NBA rosters then Zach Edey certainly can.  If he keeps putting up 30 + points in big ten games I think a team will get enamored with his uniqueness and may grab him early 2nd round or so, especially if it's a team that plays a little slower and uses more drop coverage defensively.

It’s really a strange Phenomenon going on.  He’s pretty much unguardable. Impacts the game on both ends.  Plays big minutes.  Smart. Hustles. Can hit free throws. And a team isn’t smart or creative enough to covet a player that impacts play more than anyone in the country.  He’s basically Yao Ming.

It is pretty rare a big comes along that impacts the game as much as he does.......and nobody in the NBA wants him.  How many 6'7" athletes can the league draft.

You can thank Hunter Dickenson picking Michigan over Purdue and Ryan Kalkbrenner picking Creighton over Purdue for Edey being at Purdue.   Watching the Journey on him they missed out on their top targets and had to go to plan c.  Worked out for them

Miles provided the gun, but didn't pull the trigger. Not that that's any better, just...different I guess?

If I was Miles's defense attorney I would consider that way better.

How will Oates handle Miles? That may be interesting to watch play out and what did Miles know about what was going on is the big question.

I mean, he didn't shoot the girl, but he was there and it was his gun. I'm pretty sure he's going to prison.
