Eastern Illinois lost by 30 to Illinois and 22 to Ohio State.  They also lost by 17 to Ball State....AT Eastern Illinois.

Iowa was a 30+ point favorite and they are down 13 with 3:39 to go.   Doesn’t always go as planned when you play cupcakes even when you have injured players

Two notes:
1.  Iowa actually starting the game with an 18-4 lead against Eastern Illinois.  They proceeded to get outscored by 88-65 the rest of the way.  
2.  In terms of the potential of IU cancelling on Friday due to weather -- Kennesaw State is in Georgia and should be arriving well before any storm and Bloomington isn't supposes to get more than 3 inches of snow.

It's the extreme cold and blistering winds blowing that snow around is what is dangerous. Here at home, it will feel like 30 degrees outside at 11 AM. At 11PM they say it will feel like -30

I'm in upper Indiana and we are looking at the same thing but with 8 to 12 inches of snow.  I used to live in central Indiana in a rural town and the effect of snow was completely different.....up in Northwest Indiana shutdowns are very short despite getting pelted with lake effect snow.  In rural Indiana we would get shutdown for days with much less snow.  I'm not familiar where Bloomington falls on that spectrum.  Also didn't consider the wind chill issue.

I've done a complete 180 on Michigan since Howard took over. Normally I never really root for any B1G teams outside of us in the tournament, but couldn't help but root for UM when Beilein was there.

I loved his style, he got the most out of his players, and they were fun to watch. Plus Crean would inexplicably beat them more often than not which made it easier.

Howard is the complete opposite. UM has good kids I'm sure, outside of that ****** Hunter Dickinson, but Howard is a complete clown.

He needs to go.

If this forecast ends up being close, Bloomington will be a mess until Sunday. The cold and winds will keep crews off the roads for a while.

Just to add a touch more unpredictability, where I am in St Louis we’re currently getting significant freezing rain, which was never part of our forecast. So, everybody, have fun.

Allow me to be the contrarian:

• Under Beilien, Michigan was easy to like and hard to beat.
• Under Howard, Michigan is harder to like and easier to beat.

Howard is chippy, volatile, and I get the feeling is a guy that I'd way rather spend an afternoon with than Beilien. Howard is interesting as hell, but not always for the right reasons.

Yesterday Iowa got a torrent of bad weather from Eastern Illinois.  Fran was not pleased.

Well apparently Covid cancelations are still a thing so I am looking forward to Howard's team shutting it down for a few weeks while the rest of the big ten beats up on each other like the past few years.
