Those pesky new fangled text messages kept us from several conference banners and probably a couple final fours while beating Purdue most of the time. Anything that Sampson had besides the recruiting violations Crean had worse and people weren’t calling for him to be fired because of it. Quote

So if we are factually talking about how many banners we would have had if we hadn't fired him, the answer would be zero. It's important to remember that Sampson came to IU with that baggage, it wasn't simply that he had made improper calls here. The five year show cause wasn't in a vacuum -- he was deemed a serial offender as he had previous issues. Quote

IU Scott Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 Wow there were 4 games today with 8 teams and only two scored over 70 points with a high of 72. It is such inept offense and don't really blame the players because the coaches uses this horrible system they use in college today. they micro manage every possession and mainly walk the ball up even after misses. the other night watching the 87 final four game against UNLV the score at the 16 minute mark of the second half was 67-63 BGleas 1 Quote

If that’s the game we want to play, how many titles would we have iv we hired hookers for our players? Quote

If you are equating making too many phones with getting hookers for players one of which isn’t even against the rules you seem to be unwilling to exist in the realm of grey that you have to in order to be successful. I’m willing for the program to play in the grey as they did for many years without people being all pissy about it. The “greatest coach in college ball” allowed for something’s to go on. What I’m not willing to actively root for is the level of muck that existed off the court in the Sampson era. We’ve been through this more than once so I’ll leave it at that. The texts and phone calls are no big deal, the culture is absolutely a big deal. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app hoosierbgh, Stuhoo, mamasa and 2 others 4 1 Quote

Sampson had been caught previously and knew the potential consequences. I’m not sure why people want to forget about the five year show cause. mamasa and Dave from Dayton 2 Quote
