No team picked him up, and his 13-year career was over. What had he accomplished? When he retired from the NBA, he was sixth all-time in points, third in rebounds and third in field goal percentage. Since he averaged 20 points and 14 rebounds a game and shot 52 percent for his career." Yeah, I'd say that qualifies as a "pretty good" career. He certainly deserves to be mentioned with the IU all-time greats. Happy to say I had the privilege to see him play, although back then, I heard more games on the radio than I saw on tv. HoosierHoops1 Posted July 17, 2018 Posted July 17, 2018 Pretty good player here, we seem to forget about often: A.J. Guyton chose to play basketball for the Indiana University Hoosiers under coach Bob Knight from 1996 to 2000. He was a four-year starter and appeared in every game while at Indiana. When he left, Guyton was Indiana's all-time leader in three-point baskets (283) and fourth in all-time scoring (2,100).[1] He also ranked eighth in all-time Indiana assists (403) and tenth in steals (128). Brass Cannon Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 very interesting Ted Talk. Kinda puts into words what a lot of us knew. Interesting thing to me is that it looks like Archie is trying to assemble a team of the 3 red colored ones for the most part. woodenshoemanHoosierfan, Stromboli, Hollywood Mike Miranda and 1 other 4 Quote
