Others have probably made this point but UK is a good lesson that IU Could just find a good college basketball coach and be a top 10 team next year. Pope has had good teams at BYU but wasn’t without some questions.

No question. You find a guy kids want to play for with a system they want to play in and have the resources of a UK/IU and the opportunity is there immediately. Then it’s just a matter of whether your guy picks the right kids. Interesting the amount of emphasis Pope. put on toughness/competitiveness rather than purely skill guys. He relies on his system to create offense and brings in Oweh and Butler who are about as bada$$ competitors as kids get.

The big ten needs to look at a lot of these SEC games and realize that the style we are playing isn't good enough. The big ten is not getting the quality of players or the length and athletic players like the SEC. Until there are changes the big ten for the most part won't have a chance to compete for national championships.
