He would have to average 37 points over 5 to tie. IF Detroit somehow won a game in their conference tourney and played a 6th game... He only needs to average 31ppg... To my knowledge, Northwestern only had nine or ten players on scholarship. IMO, that was their choice and the covid rule should be about the # of players NOT available, not the number of players available. Three or four spots were CHOSEN not to be filled by Northwestern.
