Minnesota up 12-9 at the kohl center at the under 12 in the first half.

I have no idea how Tyler Wahl averages 14 ppg. Great mystery to me.

I’ve been critical of Gard, but his current team isn’t loaded with talent. What he’s gotten out of this team is a credit to some excellent coaching, imo.

Then again, you could say we got Rutgers at the 'wrong time'.   JHS injured, Bates' started hitting shots after the Rutgers game, Rutgers had been without Mulcahy for three weeks and got him back for the IU game.

Personally, I don't discount the Xavier win nor do I give IU any credit for losing to Rutgers just because IU was a man down and for the first time all season they had both McConnell and Mulcahy healthy.  Bottom line, the Xavier win was a very, very solid one and the Rutgers loss we looked very bad.

Very true re: getting Rutger at the 'wrong time.' They just lost to Miami on the road, any team with a pulse had beaten them to that point, they needed time to jell with Mulcahy back, they were defeated the next two games by a few points, etc. They needed Indiana at the right any time to get right. It's the title we hold as a blue blood that we get everyone's best game.

Completely agree, IU deserves credit for the Xavier win which is an amazing win the same that IU deserves getting clowned by Rutger in their lone win in a 4 game stretch.

A system and culture can go a long way when you recruit to it. Wiscy and purdoodoo are prime examples of this. It definitely helps they play in the Big 1.o.

Yep they are a very typical Wisconsin team. It doesn't matter who they play, it's going to be a close game where they make less mistakes than the other team. Win by 3 at home to a terrible Minnesota team, lose by 1 to an elite Kansas team. Just fascinating

The computers hate them, but they get the W most of the time.

Not sure how I feel about my least favorite player in the BIG calling my least favorite team in the BIG scumbags.

I'm hoping that Juwan finishes the job he started on Gard this year.

Juwan can't control his temper, but at least he's not the lead the scumbag.

I would have liked for him to elaborate on what makes them scumbags. I'm sure he can provide some insight the rest of us don't have access to.

I watched this game last night also.

Thoughts that I had on Wisconsin:

  • Execution is consistent and spot-on
    • Fast, crisp, accurate passing.
    • Confidence in shooting.
    • Screens are solid and position players correctly.
    • Players cut and use screens correctly.
    • Accomplish more efficiently with less talent.
    • I never see them disappear or sleepwalk.

...even though I can't stand freaking Wisconsin, this is the recipe.

They are also a very odd shooting team. 2nd best from 3 percentage wise in the B1G at 38.1% but.... at the same time, they are dead last in the B1G in 2pt%... And surprisingly shooting under 70% from the FT line where they are 9th in the B1G.
