The Minutemen unofficially had a final four in 1996.Neither team has won an NCAA tournament game since those runs. UMass is in the Atlantic 10 which is traditionally a better conference than the SoCon. Even more curious, it looks like the UMASS predictions occurred in early December, but those Chattanooga experts rolled in their final answer between 8:35 pm and 8:37 pm announcement night.
