Rodney Rogers passed away yesterday.

Great player at Wake Forest in the early 1990s. Maybe the NCAA's second-best lefty at the time (behind Calbert, of course).

Went on to a decent NBA career.

Had been paralyzed since 2008 from an ATV accident.

In Memory of Rodney Rogers

Enjoyed watching him at Wake.  Always heard he was a great guy, my friend was hosted by him on a visit there.  Sad news

So sad! I was working for the Celtics when we got him at the trade deadline during the 2001-2002 season and made a run to the ECF.

He was an incredibly nice person. Very respectful and engaging with all the front office staff, etc.  Not all players are.

So sad what happened to him after his playing days.

ISU wins at home over Ball State.  18 pt win for the Trees

In a 4 point game with 12 minutes left, Ball State got two technical fouls five seconds apart.

Michael Lewis had a good first season there. Ever since, they've sucked. It seems he's stuck in the 1990's and has no idea how to build a program in today's environment.

Ugh. Pitt lost at home to Quinnipiac by 8. So Pitt now has a 20 pt loss at West Virginia , a 10 point neutral court loss to UCF and an 8 point buy game loss to a MAAC school and has Ohio State and Texas A&M up next. In the last 10 years Jeff Capel has made the Tournament once. I’m guessing he’s dodged his last bullet.

Feast week is here with games starting at 11 and the last tipping off at midnight.   My 3rd favorite week on the college basketball schedule.   Players Era tourney has taken over as the best MTE during this week.  Each of teams gets 1 mil for participating and then the winner will get 2 mil on top of that while 2,3 and 4th will get extra.   the fields for Maui and battle for Atlantis because of this.  Hopefully this won’t eliminate those tourneys but hard for teams to turn down 1 mil nil money just to participate.   Hopefully IU gets in that tourney moving forward.   Next year they are adding more teams
