LOL They should go ahead and make the T--shirts.

They'll be good but certainly not 40-0 good and no way it's the greatest roster ever.

They're getting pretty excited.

I hate it, but right now they have the second best odds to win it all next year.  I don't think they are that good, but they are going to be strong and peaking again, which won't be fun.  Fortunately, this board appears to have no PU trolls, which is nice.

We really need CDD to get us going again, I'm sick and f'in tired of losing to Purdue.*

* I know Woody split with them, but they've been a better program for a decade now by a pretty big margin.

NIL is about to get ugly with collectives/schools suing players for leaving. It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out. In the article below, it's talking about some of them planning to sue some football players whose contracts included buyout clauses. I think we'll start seeing this in basketball as well, especially with rev share.

I really think this is a good thing. It might suck for the kids getting sued, but in the end, I think it will bring the whole NIL free-for-all to a head, and it will ultimately usher the age of reason back to this mess.

I don't feel for the kids being sued. They signed a contract then broke that contract. The bigger the contract amount, the more likely the other party will be upset by that contract being broken and retaliate. Welcome to the real world.

I agree with the rest of what you said and I think the same. The question I have is whether a buyout will hold up in court if the players aren't employees.

Gilbert Arenas son in bad car wreck in  a coma. USC committ if the Inter webs are right.

His truck caught fire and he suffered a lot of smoke inhalation and apparently inducing comas is a norm in that particular situation.  Reports I've seen said he did not suffer any serious bodily injuries.

I question this report.  Burns maybe?  Something seems off, but regardless prayers to this young man and his family.  Videos of the Cybertuck on X.

Shams Charania -

Shaquille O'Neal has agreed to become the men's basketball general manager of Sacramento State, sources tell ESPN. It will be a voluntary role for Shaq, whose son, Shaqir O'Neal, also plays for Sac State under Mike Bibby. Shaq and Bibby form a star duo as college GM and coach.

There's always gonna be a chasm between 'big' schools and 'small' schools regardless of what the structure is unless there's artificial means to close the gap (player draft, negotiated mass level revenue distribution). The next chapter of this is when schools start revenue sharing and in his example Kansas can use their dept. monies to pay that 4th recruit while Wichita St is getting who knows what from the American Conference. Wichita is a unique case cuz they have a mega donor but most schools in their financial weight class aren't gonna have the NIL + Rev Share to compete outside their neighborhood.

Semi-interesting read, I think he overrates  Woodson by probably a letter grade, you can’t give him the same grade as Davis going to a Final 4 or the lack of support Moser had at OU, but a fair number of these strike me as reasonable.

Only defense is that Woody took over a much tougher job/roster. Still Davis managed to get into the tourney the last two years.

Not sure what Shaka would have to do for this guy to get higher grade. He’s got to be their most successful coach since McGuire.  I don’t think Marquette would trade Shaka any more than ISU would trade Otz.
