Can you blame him? Those schools are ruling the roosts with recruiting. However, it has not translated perfectly on the court, but I can't blame him. Pick the best players to win the most. Usually works that way. He gave us tons of love during our #1 season.

I don't know if I see us a top 40 team. We lost our only proven big man in Vonleh. We will have a great lineup 1-3, possibly 1-4, but not proven big man will hurt us.

One thing we have in our favor is Coach Crean is used to teams like these. This team will have to run at all times. This will be a fun team to watch in terms of speed and athleticism, but a lot of work still needs to be done to prove themselves! If we had Vonleh, I think we are Top 30. I just don't see top 40 for this team. Hope I'm completely wrong, but we will see.

I'm not a person who thinks Vitale is annoying. On the contrary I really like him calling games. However, his top 40 list is about as meaningful as Lou Holtz's pre-season top 25. Everyone pats the old guys on the back and moves on with their day

If we had Vonleh we'd be looking at top 10 or 15 at the lowest. His improvement mixed with a strong backcourt would make us obvious contenders.

Wait Holtz has a pre-season top 25 list? I assume it has to be Notre Dame 1-25, then all the honorable mentions are also Notre Dame.

We have some question marks entering the season but no way (barring key injuries) we should finish the season less than top 30.

If we do--- this partial sunshine pumper becomes a total Crean dumper!  Too much talent assembled----I predict we will surprise!
