Who should replace Coach K?

If Jabari and/or Hood come back next year, I think they will be the favorites with the addition of their recruiting class. I can't remember their names, but I think they have two top 10 players, a center and a point guard... If they win, I could see coach K retiring. I used to be a bit of a Duke fan, so I think candidates would be:

Wojo

Amaker

Johnny Dawkins (won't get it IMO)

Capel 

 

I think K absolutely sees to it that it stays within his coaching tree. Just my opinion. Will definitely be interesting to watch

I think Coach K will be around for awhile. He's still coaching the olympic team in 2016 so I can't see him retiring from Duke before then. He was asked Friday if he was thinking about retirement and he said that he wasnt. Who knows though. He's still got some good years left in him.

I'm think CC was taking a little jab at the people calling for Crean's head after every single loss. Coach K is fine, just like Crean is fine for now. And yes, I know coach K has a much longer rope than does Crean.

If Jabari doesn't come back they will be the favorites.  They got Okafor, Jones, and Justice.  Plus, they got good players coming back.  That is a Kentucky style class.  Okafor is the best player in the class and is a big.  Jones is arguably the best PG and a top 5 overall player in the class.  Justice is an athlete that can just flat play and is a 5*.  They also got a high 4*.  The rich get richer.  If Jabari comes back, they would be a unanimous 1 in the pre-season.  He isn't coming back though.

Because he wore an IU jersey once. Unfortunately a number for former Hoosiers are getting major boosts because they are former Hoosiers.

You know a well as I do tournament performance doesn't indicate how good a coach is. Especially when it comes to being at a mid major and playing possibly the most talent team ever assembled. :). I actually defend Crean for the Syracuse game last year. My complaints with Crean are in other areas and Gregg Marshall is an upgrade to Crean. Just my opinion.

I actually agree with you.  People's main argument at getting rid of Crean seem to mostly be centered on him underperforming in the tournament which is ludicrous.  That is about as big of a crapshoot as you will find.  If you are lucky enough to get the right draw, you have to be lucky enough for things to fall into place.  I actually am with you, just poking fun at a specific mentality.

I'm with you. Look at the draw Florida got this year. A banged up Kansas gets knocked out. Now UCLA may end up the toughest opposition to a final four.
