If a kid (Lyle) acts up kick him off the team. Its over. If this Maker/ Handler situation blows up it can damage the program. This is an NCAA investigation looking for a place to happen.

We should be recruiting well enough that we don't have to consider such risks but I digress.

True but if the NCAA clears him and no new information comes out it is not on the team. Think Kanter from Kentucky. For Lyle he will have grade issues where he will need help. When does help become a violation? Oregon of all schools didn't feel comfortable waiting on a 5*kid to get his grades. What does that say? Talented? Absolutely. But Lyle has more opportunities to pull down a program as long as nothing new comes out after/if Maker is cleared. It isn't just Lyle acting up. It is the need to constantly babysit, do his homework for him, and keep his head when things aren't going well that are the issue.

I agree with you that the potential damage would be a lot greater, but, based on everything I've read about the Makers (both of them) doesn't strike me as a true red flag. They seem like they have the right people guiding them and they ultimately seem to have the best interests of those two at heart, which probably means they don't want to salt the earth.

I'm still feeling it folks! I pretty made up my mind that the Makers will play for IU and we will just go ahead and make it so. Just put your faith in me and my gut feeling on this one.

Both of them? Or would you give the younger Maker a little extra time to... Matur.

If we land Thon- we shoot up to #15 in the 2016 recruiting class

if we land Thon, Deron D and Mario K, we shoot up to #1 over MSU.
