Yeah, after watching Tucker this season, it's hard to imagine all of the crap IU got from the WVU fans for Tucker "faking" the shoulder injury to get another season somewhere that wasn't West Virginia. He should have stayed in Morgantown.

Last year we couldn't hit a three, but at least had some inside game to balance that out. This year we had some great 3 point threats (sometimes) but had no inside game.....we wanted better shooters but you have to have some inside game on those games when you can't shoot well! If we would have had Wilkerson and DeVries last season we would have had a pretty good team! This year if we would have had Ballo and Reneau we would have easily made the tournament!

32% last year to about 35% this year, better but nothing special.

Free throws improved about 8%, so hitting those was refreshing.

We don’t have a team of 18 year olds. You are desperately trying to portray them as kids just out there for the love of the name on the front of the jersey when they are men making men salaries. There is no other industry that pays men this much money for such average results

And some are eager beavers to criticize solely because they make more money than fans. At the end of the day they're young men. Also known as "college kids" ... legal adults, still rounding into adulthood in a university setting. Booing isn't the worst thing ever, it's not helpful either. Makes a bad situation worse. But whatever helps people blow off steam, I guess. Venting on a message board is fair game IMO but it's also fair to point out when it's over the top IMO. 

My frustration would be way more directed at DDV than the players.

They shot 3% higher while putting many more three pointers per game.  It’s not ‘about the same as last year’.

I didn’t boo players and haven’t criticized this team much at all and not in this thread. I just don’t think there is anything wrong with criticizing poor play, poor coaching and poor results. 
I agree about DDV. These young men are going to move on, DDV isn’t, at least not for a few years. He needs to figure this out because I question his ability to evaluate talent, build a team and create an advantage in-game for his team.

For sure.

I'm really disappointed looking back on year 1 now that it's done. The roster was not good, but the fact they beat Wisconsin, UCLA, and Purdue shows they had the ability to win more games. Just didn't. Weren't prepared, weren't put in position to succeed.

All I can do is hope for a better year 2.

I saw a ton of posters saying how refreshing it was to have a coach with a plan, this was stated over and over before the season. I don’t know what that plan was tbh. For 4 years we did nothing but dump it into our bigs and we countered with the exact opposite and both are poor strategies.

we need a ton of upgrades in talent and a balanced roster and better coaching. I never once thought to myself when we were blowing leads, “DeVries will call a timeout and get this ironed out”.

We feel apart as the season advanced. Lost our confidence, swagger. Wilted against any amount of sustained pressure.  Whatever the chemistry issues with Conerway.  I think the Daddy Ball didn’t help matters particularly in stretches where Tucker played particularly bad. Lots of things to pin it on. But we got worse at the end of the season. Op
