Any good games to rewatch since I don't have work tomorrow? We're closed tomorrow.

Dan lebetard’s live view of the championship is gold. They got a real IU guy as a guest but you also see their souls ripped off when Miami losses.

How much money does the university get from all the merch people have bought?  Coffers have to be fuller than ever before .

They have to pay Coach all of his performance bonuses. By my calculation (and I could be off a bit, he's got about $3.5M coming in bonuses:

$125K for 6 conference wins
$1M for B1G championship
$2M for NCAA national championship
$150K for COY honors

If the No. 2 Hoosiers continue their march toward the Big Ten Championship Game and advance deep into the College Football Playoff, Cignetti is in line for a significant payday this winter.

Should the Hoosiers secure five Big Ten wins, Cignetti gets $100,000. If they win six or more games in conference play, he earns $125,000. The number isn't cumulative, as only the highest win total applies.

If Indiana finishes in the top six in Big Ten play, Cignetti will receive $250,000. Should the Hoosiers finish second (including ties), the number doubles to $500,000, and if they win the Big Ten Championship, Cignetti gets $1 million.

In the event Indiana misses the College Football Playoff but still makes a bowl game, Cignetti earns $200,000 and an additional $50,000 if the Hoosiers win the contest.

Naturally, the reward sweetens in the College Football Playoff. The funds aren't cumulative and the highest finish applies.

CFP First Round Appearance: $500,000
CFP Quarterfinal Appearance: $600,000
CFP Semifinal Appearance: $700,000
CFP National Runner-Up: $1 million
CFP National Champions: $2 million

Cignetti can also earn significant funds if he wins Big Ten or National Coach of the Year awards. If he wins Big Ten Coach of the Year, be it from the media and/or as voted by other coaches, he'll earn $50,000. Should he win any National Coach of the Year award, he'll receive $100,000,

I’d imagine all this merch is probably 8-9 in total sales figures.

You had people buying Big ten merch. Rose bowl merch and NC merch.

Not to mention we got 20 million for going to the NC game.  We keep 1.1 million of that.  We get about 2.3 if you factor in the shares we get because of OSU and Oregon making the playoffs

What a move it was to transfer to IU!  Thanks Pat.

This is going to a huge spot to fill.  Coogan's contribution to this team can not be credited enough.  When you watch Mendoza's 4th quarter 4th and five TD run again, and who hasn't watched it multiple times, just look at how much room Coogan clears out for Fernando.  What a massive portal pickup this was. I have no doubt that Coogan will be successful at the next level.

The Coogan play I immediately think of too is his fumble recovery in the Peach Bowl. What an absolute stud, what superb hustle, what ball awareness. It's a moment that fills me with excitement about the program CCCC has built here.

Pat Coogan could have stayed back by the line of scrimmage and no one would have criticized it, he'd done his job, his guy (who wasn't even his guy really) was chasing Mendoza but rapidly being left behind.  But he follows the ball and his quarterback and runs 20 yards along behind him (a good way behind him). Then the ball comes out and shoots sideways, everyone scrambling, and he just sails in to wrap it up, get up, signal the 1st, give some finger guns, and it's time for the next play.

On the traditional telecast view, he flys in from nowhere like some of those Good Troy rebounds, but the skycast you can follow him better. Pure hustle, pure culture. An incredible play that won't stick in people's minds because it wasn't very significant in the overall course of the game, but that's the life of an o-lineman.

Watch it .25 speed too. And the replay that follows during the next play gives a slightly different view of him coming in.

Edit: accidentally rewound and watched Fernando's run a couple plays earlier and Evans is the player running behind Fernando because Coogan is in a very active block when the run starts, and even then Coogan comes up about a second behind Evans.
