Honestly I think the defense was throwing some stuff we didn’t expect and he’s not thrown to this arrangement of WRs in about a month.  He seemed to figure it out.

Good coaches have schemes and develop players. Hacks focus on trickery and garbage and hope they can hang.

The IU defense sniffed out the one trick play the toiletmakers tried on offense for a huge loss.

The difference is coaching, preparation, talent and execution.

The announcers made a big deal about him making bad throws, which was true. But the real issue was making the wrong reads in the first place on those plays. More than once someone else was open and he tried to force it. Why? No idea.

Bucket game was awesome! As a kid I always loved the matchup, even when both teams weren't good. I remember playing the game on NCAA 05 and thought it was neat they had a bucket as a trophy for the game.

It was COLD!! Wife was a trooper for going. We arrived in West Lafayette about 3 1/2 hours till kickoff. When Omar made it 42-3 we ended up leaving and listened to the rest of the game on our way to the hotel. Only "bummer" is that the gap between Mendoza and Saying got a little closer.

One thing I'll say is this: In the NFL, when you have a franchise QB your Super Bowl window is open for a long time (Think Brady, Peyton, Mahomes, etc). In College football, if you have an elite Head Coach (Saban, Kirby, pre 2021 Dabo, etc) your National Championship window is open for a long time. Enjoy this friends. I said this over the summer to a friend: There are two things I think will happen with Indiana sports. Tyrese Haliburton will lead the Pacers to an NBA Championship. And Curt Cignetti will lead IU to a National Title. This might be the year!

As an IU fan, I hope they extend Barry Odom. I was not impressed last night. When it was 7-0, his decision to kick a FG tells you he is a coward. What's odd is I thought a year ago it was a solid hire. I bet you anything he regrets taking this job with all the openings there are this year.

Question for those more in the know: Is Purdue the UK of the Big Ten? Meaning they are putting more NIL into basketball than they should? I know Painter had a few solid portal additions lately.
