Not from the opponent

I will agree. It's also nice to not only see our shots going in, but also nice not having every non-conference Tom, Dick, and Harry walk into the Hall and shoot the lights out against us (so far).

I’m sure this will continue to be repeated ad nauseam, but dang it’s refreshing to see our coach on the floor coaching without also looking bewildered a la Archie lol

And nobody asleep on the bench!  What a concept!

Nick Dorn's debut coming off injury: 7 minutes, 8 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist

Jasai looks more comfortable with each game. He's really athletic.

Seems kind of likely we'll be ranked top 25 heading into Kansas State IMO

Definitely encouraged by Dorn’s early play. Landing him was kind of surprising at the time, seemed unlikely he’d join then to some. Can’t wait to ser him back at full strength, he’ll help

I was thinking about that when they mention "10 transfers, 0 returning points"......is there anyone from last year we'd even WANT back? Some talent for sure, but I don't think anyone translates to this style, do they?

Yes—I believe that with Darian Devries as the coach, there are many players from last year that would be assets.

Luke Goode (w/eligibility) and Bryson Tucker are no brainers for fitting in. Malik and Carlyle could be used well too.

Plenty of cupcakes remain for him to get run against.

Marquette with Shaka was probably not a "cupcake" in the true sense, but we still have several more on the schedule besides the two we've played (AAMU and UWM)... but the fact that we are not squeaking by the cupcakes and playing down to their level is somewhat satisfying. DeVries has them playing their game irrespective of the opponents' talent level.

We're averaging 100 points per game (99.667), hitting tons of 3s, and have over 70 assists through the first three games. There's plenty of room for improvement, but this team is fun to watch, and it's clear that they are growing into their respective roles.

More miscellaneous tidbits after Hammy woke up and clocked in.

The last time IU scored at least 90 points in three straight games was in 2015 when IU beat Morehead State (92-59), IPFW (90-65), and McNeese State (105-60) December 5-9-12, 2015.

Indiana basketball averaging 12.6 made 3-pointers through first three games, that would put them on pace for 390 threes this season, team's single-season record is 345, have only hit more than 300 threes twice in team history

Darian DeVries on the reaction from fans: 'Hopefully they see guys who play the right way, play hard, unselfish ... ultimately that's what we want people to take joy in, watching them all play together.'

Tayton Conerway is averaging 6.3 assists per game. No #iubb player has exceeded 5 APG since 2021-22, and no one else that year topped 2 APG. This year, four others have 2+ APG.

Just think about how long it’s been. And DeVries has done it in 3 games.

It’s shouldn’t be a revelation after Cig made the playoffs with Allen leftovers and guys that couldn’t get a P4 sniff:

Hire the right leadership and the results follow. It’s true in all areas of life.
