2025 IUFB Season

On “The Matt Barrie Show,” SEC Network analyst Paul Finebaum expressed that he believes Indiana is genuine this season and should be discussed among the elite teams in the Big Ten.

“We do,” Finebaum said. “Nobody made fun of Indiana more than me. I agree with (Joey) Galloway. That probably was the biggest story (Saturday) because I believed in (Bret) Beliemma. Maybe I bought in too much… It wasn’t just a win, it was a complete annihilation. That did a lot for that brand. Indiana will be taken seriously now.”

Paul and about 90% of his colleagues are lazy af. Average joe's like myself saw this coming from a mile away. The laziness has got to be called out at some point. I don't care that he has 'came around' IUFB's brand. His paycheck says he should have came around last year after the Michigan game. Coach Cig said in his hiring day presser that we was going to change the brand of Indiana Hoosier football. The story writes itself and was served up on a platter December 1, 2023. Lazy. Absolutely lazy journalism.

For the past nine months we've been eyeing the Illinois and Iowa games.

Well, week five is in the books, we won both games, and IUFB is 5-0.

Not bad!

We also had a little more red in Kinnick than usual.  And when the game ended and our President and AD are the first to greet our coach.  I just love seeing the top to bottom commitment at IU that it takes to be competitive in football.

And of course, as we all saw we can be better.  This team has upside.

Onwards and upwards.  I'm sure we'll have ups and downs from here on out, our next game is one of the two hardest in all of CFB, but this is pretty exciting stuff.

Well said. And everything about this one felt like it could easily go bad. Big win last week. Huge game next. Classic trap. Well coached, experienced opponent. Tough environment. Homecoming. 1st road game. All of it. And they got a couple of breaks and found enough to get it done. Very nice. The one concerning thing, to me at least, was that the right side of the OL really got worked. That feels pretty problematic going forward. But, hey, 16-2 in the last year and a half is so far beyond any reasonable expectations that you have to be a complete moron to complain.

The obligatory include Notre Dame.  Hopefully USC trounces them.  They are their only chance to beat a ranked team.

And Alabama wins so goes from 17th to a 6th seed hosting a playoff game.
Bama is only a good loss away from a first round bye.

Mendoza drops behind Dante moore and ty Simpson in the updated Heisman projections

That’s fair. And most heisman voters just check box scores so they didn’t even really see Dante Moores biggest mistake
