Correct, it's pronounced like Darren. Not sure why it's spelled/pronounced that way but it is.

Dolson might not have met with DDV and talked about getting rid of Woody in the Bahamas, but I bet that he did keep an eye on his team after that to see if he was right for the job for when the plug was pulled on Woody.  He probably did ask some of big fish if they were interested, and they say No.  He gets to his second tier of guys, and DDV was first on that list.  The search firm did their thing, and he jumped on him as soon as the selection show was over and WVU was left off.  Maybe they kept in contact via personal e-mail to judge interest?  Who knows, but Dolson knew that DDV was someone he could work with since the Bahamas I bet.
